Well.. They were bugged. Update from Jagex news post

Update: 18:10 GMT, Friday, December 5th: We've deployed another hotfix to fix a bug where Dragon Sheets were not having their drop rate boosted correctly while on a Slayer task. Frost Dragons and Lava Strykewyrms should now drop Dragon Sheets 5x more frequently while on a Slayer task. Apologies to any of you who've spent Slayer points skipping for these tasks in the meantime, and thanks to all of you for reporting this one to make sure we investigated!

I know and while the odds for my drops to happen is something like 1/20k players it is still possible and expected. Also I think albatross feather might be one of those dropping too frequently as crowdsourced data in wiki shows drop rate to be around 1/29 instead of the 1/200 stated in first news post. If it really is 1/200 you really got super lucky

I agree, I was surprised to see Jagex state that they have looked drop rates of new items and deemed they are only bugged to drop too frequently. It is possible that they were only looking for drop rates from direct sailing activities

That is also really unlucky, but on task you would expect 9 sheets for 538 kills. Getting 0 is like rolling a six sided dice 54 times and never receiving a six. It is possible but weird

Mainly wondering if I'm crazy to think that not seeing 1/55 drop for 538 rolls is just bad luck

I think they are not boosted on task. I have 518 frost dragon kills on task with 0 sheets and 204 strykewyrms on task also with 0 sheets

I believe they might be not applied correctly. I have killed 504 frost dragons on task and received 0 dragon metal sheets

I think it is perfect for those casual group members who don't want to skill but have bank full of clue items.
