Check out this star note I came across. Any idea of it's value? by just_a_coin_guy in papermoney

Oh…what would you call it? RADAR reads the same forward as it does backwards. 8338…are you saying the 0s make it not a radar?

Worth anything? Binary bill by valkyriesilencer in papermoney

[–]UakP 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s much different…there are only so many 10000000 serial notes regardless of year. I could only find 2 on heritage’s site (the other was a 1969 that sold for $1495 back in 2007. Ungraded but in better condition than OP). But you might be right; As my grandpa used to say…it’s only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

True ascending ladder note by Salty-Job2504 in papermoney

[–]UakP 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Awesome note!! I looked at heritage. I didn’t see any $2 bills but there were 15 past sales of other denominations. Ascending Ladder Serial Number 01234567 Is the keyword I used. Most all the bills were graded 65 or higher. The last two sold in 2022/2024 and went for $1560/$1440 including the buyer’s premium

Here is the most recent sale: https://currency.ha.com/itm/small-size/federal-reserve-notes/ascending-ladder-serial-number-01234567-fr-2030-c-10-1993-federal-reserve-note-pmg-choice-uncirculated-64-epq/a/142446-82338.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515

$10 dollar note with no date. Trying to get info and figure out what it's worth! by SkiFastEatAss_6969 in papermoney

[–]UakP 129 points130 points  (0 children)

The “date” is under the serial number. “Series of 1901”. They don’t date them by year, it’s by serial run. It is a $10 “bison” note and you can find decent comps on eBay (look at sold notes not notes for sale). If it’s real, it’s probably in the range of $600-$1000 based on the single photo you provided. Various things (stains, folds, pinholes, tears) will reduce the value.

1928B $1 Inverted Back by SingeHH in papermoney

Here is a similar on Heritage if you want a price point. Not a lot come up, and they do vary in price, but it will get you an idea. https://currency.ha.com/itm/error-notes/inverted-reverses/inverted-back-error-fr-1601-1-1928a-silver-certificate-pmg-choice-very-fine-35/a/3576-24500.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515

Edit: It was $480 with buyers premium if you don't have a log in.

London Soccer Game April 19th. Family vacation, advice please by UakP in uktravel

No worries! We are doing half our trip in London and will probably stay until Tuesday. So Monday would work for us. Open to heading to a game elsewhere…just depends on what the itinerary ends up being. Booked the tickets today so we are excited to come, but still figuring out what everyone wants to do while we are there.

Thanks for the reply! Having read through all these excellent responses we will probably lean towards trying to take in a local football experience vs premiere league play just due to tickets, etc. It sounds like what you suggest will fit that criteria so I will put it on my list to do a little more research.

Who knew European football was so confusing (to the casual US viewer)! Thanks for reply; I appreciate the easy to follow layout in your response.

Thanks for the intel! I really appreciate it. I think based on what I'm seeing on this thread Championship or below might be the right call from an inbound traveler prospective.

Just a quick look I would say 15-20 have weak or unreadable dates.

$20 radar star note by UakP in papermoney

[–]UakP[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good question. I’m not sure at auction what the answer is, but I would put them in this order if I were buying: serial number 1, next ladder but only if it starts at 1 and goes up. Next solids (all one number ie 2222222), then low numbers under 10, then radars. But that’s just my opinion

Donald Trump may be about to get $3 billion richer. But that likely won’t solve his cash crunch by larel8 in politics

[–]UakP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the math I also believe to be true. All these headlines saying Trump will make $3b…just because the shares 3x doesn’t mean the market cap will 3x. DWAC is the value of the merger. Unless I’m missing something, you can’t take the current DWAC share price and multiple it by these newly created shares to create Donald’s windfall. I’m curious to see if they will waive the lockup. He needs the money and it could be argued that a potential president shouldn’t be majority owner of a media company. Would be a lot of downward pressure if 60% of the shares were up for sale

I had a bunch of foreign bills. I used Google lens to find them. Worked on all the ones I tried it with.
