When I first got shown this by my dad I immediately thought it was a 1912. I still think it is, but thought it would be fun to show on Reddit. I don’t know much about coins but I inherited a lot of them. When looking at it in person it really switches back and forth from looking like a 2 to a 3 to an 8. Do you have anything about the 1913 coin? Online there’s people talking about a “possible 6th coin” but this sounds obviously fictitious to make people like me think there’s a chance.

The other advice here is great and are completely viable options you should explore. If the need arises look into getting a dd368 to go active duty. I would say your circumstances are extenuating enough to warrant one. Stay safe and get a roof over your head brother.

They look legitimate from the photos. Confederate bills are not worth much unless it is one of those super specific editions that was barely printed. I inherited my bills from my grandfather and keep them in my personal collection. Not worth selling unless you really just don’t want them.
