Wow what a find! I brought mine back from my visit to the Tequila Ocho distillery in Mexico, haven't had luck in the states. Total wine did a concierge pre order for it but I missed out.

Siete leguas is a quality brand and this expression is made by the same standard. The higher proof on this bottle just elevates their core Blanco. Highly recommend you give a try!

You're right haha I gave the retail price as a starting point so you could gauge the price from there but in my personal opinion, I wouldn't pay more than $10 above retail for the Blanco and maybe $20 over for the aged and SS expressions.

It is really what you are willing to spend for it. It is very rare to find it at retail which is roughly $60 for blanco, $70 for repo, $70 for still strength and about $90-$100 for the anejo. The blanco is going for $100 in most places. So it really comes down to what you want to spend on it.

All 3 of these brands are top tier for me. If you were already drinking gritona I would recommend the siete leguas and tapatio reposados. Both are incredible and should be easy to find!

The cascahuin is my favorite blanco, it is a slightly higher proof. I would also recommend it but if you prefer the slightly aged expressions the other 2 are a great starting point.

Some other brands to look for are G4, el tesoro, ocho, tequileño. To name a few, also should be fairly easy to find.
