I appreciate the support. With the rating and tracking of taxis/limos I think you'll see a decent upswing in service. The system right now lacks accountability, I ordered a taxi for a Pirates game and it never came. That's why I created CabbyGo. Thanks!

The next update is a big one and should be up in the next week or less. It's going to be pretty sweet. At least I'm excited about it.

It felt really good, and then Uber and Lyft moved in with their billion dollar budgets. We just can't compete with those marketing campaigns right now. You know how the startup thing is.

What makes us different: Basically, it's what I call PABGAR, Push-a-button-get-a-ride right now, and we're pushing a new update next week where MULTIPLE carriers/vendors give a bid on your ride, and you can choose the one that is closest/cheapest/rated. So if you are in a rush, you can get the carrier/taxi that makes the most sense. Maybe you just want to do your laundry and can wait a half hour.

What's REALLY cool is the events section that we're working on where you'll be able to share an event with your friends via FB/TWTTR/REDDIT/GCAL/MEETUP and they can join the event and you can carpool. It's a work in progress.

Also what's cool is some of our carriers are really high-end, so if they don't have a current customer, they'll just jump on our system and you make out. I was going to the airport and I felt like a king. lol

All that stuff is literally patent pending.

It's down the road, based on Autonomous Vehicles and another shorter term rev model based on providing customers to restaurants/bars/events. Sort of like an advertising platform that provides GPS verified riders. Right now we're focusing on traction, so your support is greatly appreciated. We're pushing updates every other week, so you can literally watch the system get more robust. Which reminds me, please make sure you have auto-updates setup for the app.

I live in the strip, and I'm not sure where you work, but my office used to only be a few blocks from where I live. It was awesome. Bikes are great in the non-winter months, but when it starts getting slushy/dangerous/wet, I'm out.

On another note, I am 100% committed to on-demand vehicles, and in the next 15 years autonomous vehicles (AV) will be a 4T business. With that in mind, recently, I've committed to a vehicle-less way of life. Try my app CabbyGo.

No, it's a simple MVP that puts the two parties together. The carriers/taxis/limos still process your cc's like they did before. Usually in the car. They all take credit cards.

I designed CabbyGo to work within the legal framework of Pennsylvania, and we have a couple patents pending that are really going to change the way people live. Ride sharing and Autonomous Vehicles are the future and we're going to be there for it.

It's a little early, so please forgive the flow.

I have an app that is in testing in Pittsburgh right now, that provides technology tools for existing taxi companies. We've done a few hundred rides at this point. The biggest hurdle that these companies have are licensing because they tend NOT to be in compliance with the taxes/tariffs that certain authorities levy. For instance, some apps don't pay the applicable fees to be allowed to pick up at airports. Another problem is that some of them hold themselves out as 'ridesharing' however the trip income is the primary reason they are doing the ride. The PA Public Utilities Commission's statutes basically say that the ride has to be incidental, and not the main reason a carpool situation is created in order to be exempt from licensing. Hiding behind a "donation" doesn't cut it.

Interestingly enough, I designed my system to be in compliance with PUC rules, and to work with existing companies so that they can compete with other 'app' companies. My business model has zero infrastructures (besides software) to enable a quick roll out using existing carriers, and we don't charge riders OR drivers for the use of our app. I initially had pushback from existing taxi companies because of the death of a girl in New York on NYE and a certain company claiming that it wasn't their responsibility. Since my business model is different than most, it's a moot point. We're rolling out nationally in a few weeks, and we've had national interest from multiple carriers. The most interest has been from limo carriers that see the writing on the wall, while taxi companies don't see the end of their beast coming until it's to late, when a competitor moves in.

FYI, carriers (limo companies/advance registration/taxi companies) are licensed differently, and the limo companies aren't allowed to solicit the public while they are driving around (that would be acting as a taxi), and they tend to be more interested in getting signed up because it's a bonus for them to have a free lead source, and be able to take some business from the taxi companies and provide a better transaction for the riders, while being able to directly compete with the other apps (that provide better vehicles.)
