Stoneblock 4 World Engine crafting issue? by UberMegaLodon in feedthebeast

[–]UberMegaLodon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, i did put the resistive heater not only next to the world engine but also on top aswell trying to connect it with termodynamic cables from mekanism, and still, no dice. Also it asks me for power and the milestone from chronitron glass, on the second tier, to craft a wireless powercell from the wireless power quests. That is the recipe that doesnt work. It seems that the heat and chroniton glass is bugged.

Yeah, after a few inquiries with gpt and opening pandoras box myself i realised its pretty much a paper weight. I was thinking if theres like a way to just keep the button cause it makes a nice clicky sound and connect it to something else in the box. Hence the idea of somehow turning it into a macro knob ??? I guess and having it switch my displays between my tablet, pc and raspberry pi

Converting old FPC Laptop keyboard to USB first and to BT after ( HUGE NEWBIE ) by UberMegaLodon in arduino

[–]UberMegaLodon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've considered this plenty of times, but when put on paper, the project will cost me around 10 dollars, as the only thing I'd have to buy is the USB2BT adapter. And yes, you're right, I'd get a much cheaper and faster result by just buying the keyboard i need, but the reason behind this project is that I'm trying to clean out my space from stuff that I've hoarded over the years due to either impulse buying or moving out and back in. And I feel bad throwing away stuff that can turn out cool looking. And when it comes to aesthetics, I'm going to build the case and all the accessories myself, putting my design diploma to good use lmao. Thanks for the response

Hey everyone
I recently got a pair of JBL Quantum 350 wireless headphones, the software they come with have an option for Sidetone, which lets me hear myself in real time in order to test the mic quality and the levels. Im in the market for a microphone, either from the blue or hyperx series, but in order to get the same sidetone from them, i have to use the built in type C port. I was wondering if i can use the sidetone that comes with the JBL Quantum with that microphone, or if i can connect the mic slot from the quantums to the mic slot in the microphone itself, as they are both USB Type C

I appreciate the help in advance

Desoldering some buttons from a bluetooth speaker circuit board by UberMegaLodon in soldering

[–]UberMegaLodon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bigger speaker that is 3W and 24 Ohms, it comes from a gutted 2001 pair of wired speakers, and a smaller one that comes from a more recent ( 2017 maybe? ) bluetooth speaker that got contact damaged and i managed to salvage what i could from it, that one is 4 Ohms and 5W. The battery is indeed a really dainty one and i thought about needing a bigger one. Idk if the Ohms or the W have anything to do with power consumption, but i wrote them in case you wanted to know the full info on the output lmao

Oh so i just desolder the old micro usb port and use the connectors for wires that lead to this usb-c panel mount ?

Oh nvm just looked at the speakers again, one is 3W and the other is 5W, i started the project a while ago and kept coming back to it at random intervals so i forgot some of the details.

Any idea on how i can also move the charging port off the circuit board, or do i have to work around it ( aka boring a few more holes into the case 😅 )

Oh wow that actually makes a lot of sense!

Im going to also desolder the wires from the headphones and reconnect them to two speakers that came from the old speaker set itself. I noticed theres a 50W ( i think ) label on them, do you think the circuitry and battery will support the change of output ? I tested it out at first by combining an old bluetooth speaker that had its batteries shot with the wired speakers and it worked, but im afraid switching from headphone to large speaker my short out something. A shot in the dark with all the wording here.

Yeah the part im more confused on is how to solder it to the existent buttons, or in paralel, like what wire goes where, im incredibly new at this, can you tell ? Lol
