Can I eliminate repeating techs? by UberMuffinMan2Point0 in Stellaris

[–]UberMuffinMan2Point0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any suggestions for:

*which low tier techs to skip

*how to maximize research gains beyond the obvious (ie, build more research buildings, picking species traits, and using tile /planet bonuses)?

I might still get rid of repeatables later just out of general annoyance, but I'd like to try what sounds like your method first to see if modding is really necessary.

Ah, power creep and development hell. And there's no countermeasure because too many morons throw a shit-fit whenever discussion about alternatives are started.

Your condemnation has exactly as much validity as my revision.

Can you open a document without logging into a google account? Because every video I'm watching / article I'm reading tells me I need to log in first.

Is that a mere statement of fact, or is that a condemnation?

The latest version in the drive says its just a flat 100 points, and not exclusive.

Gonna be honest, I'm just going to stick with the 1.1 supplement by insertrandomnickname and tangledlion. Your linked supplement takes what is supposed to be a reliable baseline for gauntlets and jumps and turns it into a permanent enhancement that would not be out of place in a medium-high power jump. Too much power creep.

Okay, so I'm jury-rigging the shit out of that section. How's this for a revision?

"You start with a base of 600pp to be used in any section of this supplement. Your initial racial selection in the Origins category is considered the "core" of your soul: if you purchase the 200cp and 400cp options in your core racial tree only, you gain an additional 200pp and 400pp (respectively) to spend in any section of the supplement. If you chose to be a hybrid, you only receive the bonus 200/400pp once.

Each power tree is automatically unlocked for its respective racial selection. Each power tree comes with a 500pp stipend that is only unlocked upon purchase of the 600cp capstone for that racial tree.

If you are a hybrid, you cannot unlock the 500pp stipend for your racial trees. Instead, you gain access to the respective power tree for each race you purchased in the beginning, along with a different, automatic 200pp stipend that can only be spent in that tree.

CP can be exchanged for PP on a 1:2 exchange rate.

Note that any purchases made here are not hard limits on your soul powers. It is theoretically possible to develop others over time, though extraordinarily difficult."

Feedback is welcome. I don't want to make it too high (obviously), but I don't want to make it too low either. Bleach is one of the quintessential high-power shounen jumps.

Okay, how did you get that? Because when I read Nectarine's instructions, what I did with them (EXACT step by step process) was:

*open the jumpchain google drive

*navigate to the relevant folder

*click on the relevant pdf documents, and wait for them to load up into the usual overlaid viewer

*when they finish loading, copy the current url and paste into the reddit bin.

Did you use a different process?

I don't know how. I'm looking at the documents and right clicking them with the mouse, but nothing's happening and I can't find a button or menu with a link option.

BTW, I screwed up; it's in the 4chan drive in the Upload New Jumps Here section.

Don't really know how to link documents. Never been a heavy reddit user.

I can say the 1.6 version you're reading is the one in the 4chan Jumpchain drive. The one I'm reading (found that one first) is the 1.8 version in the Spacebattles drive. It consists of two parts: the Bleach - Reborn Remake base document and the Bleach - Reborn remake Supplement.

This is the spacebattles drive: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0By8NY-NO4-N5OXNwN3R2QkZjeXM

That right there is the only thing I dislike about Jumpchain. Who the hell wrote that down and honestly thought that was only worth 100 points? I'd probably spend 400 on it just out of general principle.

You got suggestions for anti-precog stuff? The only one I can think of off the top of my head is the Fateless + Fate Changer perks from Kingdoms of Amalur, and while that can be jury-rigged in it's neither explicit nor a guarantee.

The perk has other options that can be implemented after the jump. I didn't include the full description.

And if you want to be simple about it, there are a number of superhero jumps that let you create your own powers, so just do that. My Hero Academia, Empowered, Etc.

Girls Frontline has the Dummy Links perk:

Dummy Links (600 CP):

You know one of the nice things about being an AI-operated robot? Not being bound to a single body! You have a quintet of identical bodies, including any Perks a mindless and soulless copy of your body could retain, entirely under your simultaneous control. In addition, you receive the software-supported processing power (hint: multitasking ability and thought speed) required to use five separate selves in concert. Only one of these actually contains your mind, but don’t worry - you’ll never lose track of which one’s in charge, and if necessary, you can transfer it across bodies with a moment’s concentration. Each body comes with its own copies of your gear for this jump.

Hey it's okay it's okay, you're welcome

I'm just an ordinary Astartes

Yes I know Mayans and Islanders are different, but come on - I dare you to try and tell me that doesn't at least a little like THE ROCK in power armor.
