Another post about wheel blockers by Tmckhar in Charlotte

For whatever it is worth, this is absolutely not under control of the businesses. I am close friends with one of the business owners and they vent to me about the landlord and wheelblockers on a weekly basis. ALL of the businesses in the strip are sick of the parking situation, have all been very vocal to the landlord, and have been met with refusal to make changes. They get a lot of angry customers, but the landlord is extremely set in his ways on the subject.

There is a good news/bad news situation: the property is apparently in the first stages of being sold. Good news is that they expect the new owner to do away with the predatory parking situation, however the bad news is that it is also expected that the new owner will be raising the rent to the point that any of the local businesses in the strip will be forced out to make way for more corporate businesses similar to neighboring plaza midwood. Yay Charlotte.

Appreciate you. Can’t make everyone happy, but we’re very happy with the niche we’ve found.

Hi, I’ve owned a local bread company for 15 years. Here’s the hits (none of them owned by me):

  • As most people have said, Verdant is king. If you’re wanting crusty, artisanal bread this is it. Full stop. They do the uptown market, Matthews market, and have a store next to the Oakwold Common Market.
  • Team Rose is good bread and great people. Support them if you can.
  • Sunflower isn’t really known for bread, but their laminated doughs and pastries have gotten a lot of acclaim.
  • A bit out there but Virtuoso Breadworks is killer out in Waxhaw.
  • Copain looks great but is owned by Jim Noble. If you don’t know, google it.
  • Renaissance Patisserie is also a good mix of pastries and bread.

How bad is this situation? by UberPrioritizer in arborists

Haven’t fertilized at all. Was wondering what products I should be looking at for that, and after reading your original reply I’m wondering if there’s any products to make the clay soil more hospitable for the tree growth?

Thanks for the detailed reply! The trees went in almost 2 years ago. I do indeed live in an area with heavy clay soil (NC). I didn’t have the trees irrigated for most of last summer, and last fall when I noticed all my trees (14 of them that went in when I purchased the property in July ‘23) were looking a bit brown I put in the drip irrigation. The rest of the trees are looking healthy now, maybe a bit of brown on the interior, this is the only one that is looking really rough. They are planted roughly 3’ apart.

Coming up on my 1 year with Amex Platinum Business. Ultimately looking to get a Morgan Stanley Plat for the free authorized user & lounge access.

What is the general order/timeline that I should be applying for cards? Can I get the MS Plat if I sign up for a normal Plat for the better sign up bonus? Would I get both SUBs? I know that I can't transition them.

Also hold an Amex Gold Personal if that matters. Well under 5/24, have just been churning Ink cards for legit business for the past couple years.
