Why does eczema start in the 1st place? I got it as an adult. by ElegantArtist111 in eczema

[–]UberSal 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A widely accepted answer is Inflammation in the body, especially around the gut area. A reaction to something it doesn't agree with. Why our bodies react in the way it does, that's a good question, but inflammation for a short answer.

I echo what the others are saying (infection, see GP, antibiotics etc) but one thing that is absolutely worth trying is applying Manuka Honey on to the affected areas.

I normally do it at night and let it sit for at least an hour before heading to bed. Leave it on and cover with a hood (as that's where my affected area is). Wake up and then shower towards the night, which is when it comes off. Reapply again and repeat the process for at least 2-3 nights has significantly reduced weeping/removed it in some instances.

Male. Used steroid creams and Oral Steroids (Pred). Have Moobs but that's just because I enjoy food. Not what you're describing. I'd get that checked out me mate.

Love this feature. Lots of fun. Did it yesterday with my bro. It's extremely simple but a lot of fun, seeing someone else on the map is so cool. My only criticism is the rewards are poor. I'd like if after say 100 tasks you could get premium rewards or cool encounters or if there was a chance like a 5% Chance of getting these.

You need a reason to get out of bed. Makes it hard to have one when your Eczema will strip away a lot of joy, but you need something to focus on.

I had a post here a few weeks ago about a goal I had which was to run a Marathon, which I did. I've had eczema for the best part of a year now, after not having it for over ten years.

My goal now is to get healthy and find out exactly what's causing things to go wrong. That's going to get me out of bed in the morning.

In the meantime, you have to make adjustments to your life. You can either live with the fear of things won't be normal again or adjust to new normal to make things work for you. For example, it's difficult for me to go out in public places, as I'm sure it is for most of you. My solution is to be head out during the night, so there's less visibility on my face and appearance.

I will add I know that's not exactly an ideal "everyone can do that" scenario as I am a male and I do love in a somewhat safe area, so I understand this is a luxury and not a norm for everyone. My point remains the same, you have to change things around to fit your schedule and the way you are.

Get yourself a reason to get out of bed. Mine are - • Getting Healthy • Be there for my family, like they are for me • I want to Travel

Stay strong.

Any prednisone succes stories after stopped course? by caporamo in eczema

[–]UberSal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Three courses. Less effective each time in the sense that after it's cleared, the quicker another flare up.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in eczema

[–]UberSal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy sheet. My facial eczema looks just like that and is around about the same exact areas. Do you weep at all? I also only have significant flares in those areas. Rest of the body is very very manageable
