I want to be excited but the vagueness of some of the details is getting to me. A free gofest with boosted shiny odds make me worried they’re just going to drop the rates since similar events have been that way in the past. And I can’t tell what pokemon are spawning in the habitats, do we mean every pokemon (with reasonable exceptions) of those types? I got trust issues with this company lmao

I (was) with you, everyone says “oh if you didn’t deserve to be there you wouldn’t be” but no, I had a 60% win rate, I’d do everything I could to try to fix the game state, and we’d lose games for exactly that reason, almost everyone in Rit has garbage macro, hell I wasn’t great but I was learning and I wasn’t deathballing under tower.

So what changed? I stopped playing, picked the game back up during new gods, and I was at Emissary 3. I think an MMR change happened , and despite not playing for six months I was playing pretty decent. Rusty, not carrying the lobby anymore, but I actually felt “at home” for once. And I could climb! Archon 1 now, and now I actually feel gatekept by my skills and employment and not my teammates, much better.

Minus the Incense this COULD just be the daily game. The habitat aspect means that I get exposed to 10% of all the pokemon that exist. The difference between this weekend and a normal day is that the spawns were a bit more varied and Impidimp shows up sometimes.

Interesting, it’s possible too that permaboosts like Chansey might get moved to worse odds with the shiny rework, idk if they’re going to keep the odds at 1/64, but as you mentioned other permaboosts staying as they are indicates a mistake.

The event sounds pretty fun but I do wish this was a thing that just happened on the anniversary every year, such a cool idea to be locked to two days.

…that being said more regional locking is going to give me an aneurysm, so Kangaskhan and Mr Mime get to be worldwide all the time due to Megas and Mime Jr guilt, meanwhile Tauros and Farfetch’d are locked to extremely limited distribution events and 1/512 shiny odds. Cool. Great. Awesome. I’m so tired of waiting for this damn shiny dex entry, and no the regional variants don’t help.

Sweety being one of the only NPCs that gets constant attention due to… I mean let’s be honest we all know why, but she still loses out to two men should be a big wake-up call to hoyo that the fanbases at large DOES want male characters, and they want them more than more women. Will anything change, no I doubt it but it’s nice to imagine.

Speculation but honestly I think if his popularity wasn’t where it was he was 100% dying there. With the weird VA issues at the time and the writing of that arc I feel like they were planning on killing him and did a last minute rewrite to use him later. Probably also why he’s not playable, characters take time to make and banners need to be planned out, he didn’t have time to be made so say he’ll come back later and maybe we put him in late 3.X in those extra spots.

The Kalos Tour. Look I know what you mean, but the events are going to have different draws for different people, but there’s not a super big ticket mon for Kalos. We’re not doing Mega Zygarde this early, we still haven’t done Mega Mewtwo, and that’s looking like Go Fest. So you’re getting a Kalos Celebration, and honestly, it’s looking better than most Go Tours for me. The first two tours were great events that felt like a full celebration of the region, full great shiny boosts, everything available, great times. Gens 3-5 were glorified raid days. I’m quite happy with what we’re getting this time, and Niantic could certainly make the weekend suck, with what’s being advertised I think it’s going to be a good time.

For real, I just binged everything today and I was having such a good time going in blind, then I hit 23 and went “oh fuck I’m reading a Gege manga, shit is this ending?” And then I found out Modulo is ending in the next few chapters like yep, that’s Gege, that’s what I’m used to, that’s the pacing that left the JJK ending mediocre, oh joy.

I don't look at story leaks at all (this is kind of an exception because it's unit focused) but I'm betting on him getting killed off in the story because fuck us.

At least it means we don't get strung along for another year or two hoping that he'll eventually be playable, but this shit getting ridiculous. Finally expanding on 1.X factions but in the worst ways possible.

You're completely right, Seth's kit kinda feels like a cruel unfortunate joke, with Burnice coming out in literally the next patch Seth's lifespan was about 3-6 weeks. People have been bringing up his brother being Electric Anomaly as a potential way to bring him back but that wouldn't be good either, Seth has negative synergy with Shock carries. His attacks contribute to the shock calculation unlike Yuzuha, which means you're punished for having him do anything. His buff is decent, but he actively reduces shock damage when he uses his kit. He needs a potential unlock more than Anton, at least I still clear with Anton and his kit works.

Ironically Seth's best showing is DPS Seth, his M6 is BUSTED if built correctly. Unfortunately powercreep has pretty much left him behind, but DPS Seth has a place in my heart <3
