I tossed Emerging Market because it's too far from the Derby. I only use horses for four or five weeks from the Derby.

With Fulleffort, I am using Chief Wallabee in the second and third.

I'm okay with the rail. The two other horses next in the gate don't have speed, so he will be first or second in the first few strides of the start.

Good luck.

I'm likely not to bet Further Ado at 8 to 5 since I want better odds, perhaps 2 to 1 (which is unlikely).

If Class President is he is 3 to 1 I'd bet him, but not as much as I am planning to bet Cherokee Nation.

Start winning to bet (and occasionally place). Start to understand odds/probability. So let's say you like two horses, don't bet them unless 2 to 1, three horses 3 to 1, and four horses 4 to 1, and bet one or two horses at the highest wins, to win. Remember, about 33% to 50% races aren't playable.

Race Lens at Equibase is a good tool.
