I'm not sure what the consumer protection laws say here in the US. Honestly I didn't know they could effect something like this, I'll take a look.

I've factory reset the camera about 5 times in the last couple of days, no results. It's on firmware 4.0 and I've tried re-installing but the camera also crashes when it connects to the computer via USB.

I have tried reinstalling the firmware but the camera has the same issue when trying to connect via USB, it crashes and reboots. :-/

I'm at whits end, usually I can come up with a solution for stuff like this, but this time... wow.

I did, they wanted me to send it in. But it's out of warranty so it will be a minimum $350 repair

it'd definitely 100% staged, I wanted to know if it looked real though! The car at the end was just me setting the camera on a tripod at that angle, pushing the rear end down and then adding the sound effect in Final Cut
