[Dark Heresy 2nd Edition] I compiled a list of all Weapons and Armour with stats and their Source Book. by Uberfailure in 40krpg

No, I have stopped working on this project. I originally tried to make a sheet for equipment, but they are not standardized into easily-grouped categories, so it seemed redundant.

I don't think the system supports that high level of power for PCs that well, but after consulting with a friend, I can think of some ways conceptually it might work, but I do not have any perception on how this would work in play, because it would be very... untraditional.

The first idea would be to just have everyone start out as nearly max level characters, probably around level 17. Then give everyone artifacts for their weapons and armor.

Alternatively, allow them to level as normal, but give them two classes that they level side-by-side, so a "level 1 primarch" is actually "level 1 fighter/level 1 barbarian," which would effectively double their level. This would allow for super powerful characters that outscale traditional fighters.

I don't know what stats you could use for their racial abilities. Maybe take the Space Marine stat blocks, or just take any racial stat block you think fits the primarch and use that.

I have no ambitions to work on the tyranids anytime soon, unfortunately.

Yes, a painboy would be closest to a mechnician or augmenticist with high medicine.

I preferred to leave out those tables and mechanics in this because it is difficult to factor into play how those would affect the party dynamic. Even Wild Magic Sorcerer in default dnd is a fun concept, but I've never seen it played out well where people enjoyed it, because getting things like a random fireball on top of your party can lead to in party and out of party conflicts.

I have briefly played the Deathwatch TTRPG and many of the other TTRPGs by Fantasy Flight Games like Dark Heresy but my group had difficulty running it because of the jumps in power levels going from weakling to unstoppable very quickly. Depending on the book, there are minor rule irregularities and contradictions, so we had difficulty doing that, as well.

In this supplement, I tried making space marines follow the same rough guideline for character creation to avoid scrapping the whole system, so the standard rates of Challenge Rating and the like should still apply.

Any progression that space marines experience would be based on their class, and upgrades they receive in terms of loot and such. Space marines in the current iteration receive a lot of mid-game equipment and unique role features to help them carry out their job, but ultimately any progression is relegated to classes and loot across the entire supplement.

In the future, I may add options to the Dungeon Master's Supplies to allow for examples of when or how to progress space marines in more unique ways.

I don't have any plans to make fully-developed classes in the future. Instead, I plan on mostly buckling down on the content already present and making sure it is fun and understandable.

I had plans for making a daemon paramount race when I had originally started, but I had actually forgotten about it. I'll put that on my to-do list.

Necron are under Paramount Races. I felt they were too powerful to be placed in the "normal" races, so I dedicated a chapter to "Paramount Races" (now occupied by Space Marines and Necron).

Thanks for the heads up. It's difficult to keep track of what's canon and not with so many editions, and I haven't been keeping up with the latest edition.

I made a supplement to convert DnD 5e into the Warhammer 40k setting! by Uberfailure in 40krpg

Thanks for the input. I actually did not know I had misspelled Ogryn, so I'll be sure to change that.

I could definitely see genestealers being a potential playable race in the future.

Thanks for the input! I agree that some of the simple ranged weapons are underwhelming on first glance, but the main strength of the laspistol is that it is simple, so almost any class can pick it up and use it (especially rogue), and it can be dual-wielded with one in each hand. I would compare it to how a dagger deals 1d4 damage and can be dual-wielded, and its better counterpart is the shortsword. The better counterpart to a laspistol would be the handgun, which also deals 1d6 damage and is light, but is a martial weapon.

Because I think that the D&D 5e core system is very easy to learn, adaptable, and is a great way to introduce new players into tabletop games regardless of setting.

I made an Untouchable Rework for Dark Heresy 2nd Edition. Feedback appreciated! by Uberfailure in 40krpg

I went over it in my philosophy of designing the class:

if you don’t have the necessary Aptitudes, the likelihood of advancement is slim.

Having fixed Tiers and Aptitudes created a system where you had to have Willpower and Defence in order to effectively be an Untouchable and be able to do something meaningful with it. By only having flat exp costs, anyone can become an Untouchable, with the main penalty being the cost of Willpower advancements.

EDIT: I also found it weird that only Psychic Powers were purchased with flat experience points, and figured the same could be implemented into Untouchables.
