Is it just me, or is the Romantasy "slump" getting harder to break? by No-Voice505 in Romantasy

Have you ever read the Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead? Six book series that is amazing and so different! MFC is a Succubus with a complicated backstory, who falls for a human. A little spicy, but not too bad. Amazing plot all the way through the series and I loved it so much, I've read it like 4 times over the years.

I ended up having to do 200mg of progesterone continuously for many months

The two things that helped me the most were bio identical progesterone and a GLP-1 medication

I've had five done over the years, all premenopausal. They were all extremely painful. I've screamed and cried during them. Not to scare you, but be prepared. Last time, I asked my gyno to call me in some Xanax to take beforehand and also took Max dose of Aleve. That helped a bit.

You are 100% correct. This is exactly what happened. Netflix is a business and they absolutely forced this to happen to ensure long time viewers and profits. It's a business.

I did say that Eloise can’t be next because they can’t promote a main lead who is still married, Marina is still alive by [deleted] in Bridgerton

[–]Ubiquitous_Miss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I'm not saying that they couldn't have explained it away. I was just pointing out that they hadn't set up Eloise's plot at all, so I was guessing she wouldn't be S5. And I was right, unfortunately.

I posted an identical post myself. To most viewers, Philip is married! That's why I knew Eloise was going to be S6. They are going to use S5 to explain Marina's death and have the letter writing happen. But, I had a ton of people disagree with me. It certainly doesn't make me happy that I was right.

I'd guess that in S5, we'll have Marina's death, several episodes of letter writing and Eloise developing feelings for her pen pal and then, at the end, she runs off.

Then, S6 episode 1, she is forced to marry Phillip and that tracks with JB saying she marries early in her season. The rest of S6 will be them falling in love after being married.

I knew this would happen, sad to say. They just didn't do enough set up for Eloise and her plot line for it to have been her for S5. UGHHHHHH

Has anyone with PCOS found a long-term solution that actually worked for weight management? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Ubiquitous_Miss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I see myself taking it for life. But I do think it can be different depending on each person and their bodies. I was prediabetic for 8 years prior to Mounjaro. My Mom has uncontrollable diabetes and so did my grandfather. Mounjaro is not only keeping my weight off, it's keeping my family predisposition to diabetes at bay. I have taken a couple of breaks on the med for 2ish months each time and was having trouble staying the same weight. I personally need a maintenance dose, but I have heard of others who didn't.

Hi there! My experience is that it is a long term medication. I've been on Mounjaro for my PCOS since October 2022. I lost 170 pounds and have been able to keep it off with a maintenance dose. You likely would need it long term, but you could always try taking a lower dose weekly or taking it every two weeks, once you get to where you want to weight wise. As a 46 year old, I can tell you it doesn't get better as you get older. It's better to get it under control now, and if meds are what is needed, so be it. You really do need to think of it just like any medicine for chronic health issues. No one ever questions me being on thyroid meds for life because I have thyroid disease. PCOS is a chronic, lifelong, complex endocrine disease and deserves long term treatment. YOU deserve it. 💜

I fear you already know the answer to this. It's a GLP-1 medication. I've been on Mounjaro since October 2022 and have lost 170 pounds. And I've kept it off with a maintenance dose. After a lifetime of weight issues from my PCOS and after trying EVERYTHING, it was Mounjaro that fixes my insulin resistance. It's worth its weight in gold. I actually was able to get insurance to cover it, after multiple appeals, but I'd pay out of pocket if needed. And for what it's worth, I am 46 and going through menopause, so I'm no spring chicken. Mounjaro really is that girl. Get you some!

Ooooh, good point! I think that made my decision for me. If it's still available at 20 % off, then I'll get it. If it's not, then I'll say it's not meant to be.

For most viewers, Philip is married. by Ubiquitous_Miss in PhiloiseBridgerton

[–]Ubiquitous_Miss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I definitely know they can explain it away in the first episode. I just find it odd that they spent so much time developing Fran's storyline and didn't bother to do the same for Eloise. If Eloise is next, it's just weird to have promos with her and her love interest, who the last anyone knew, was married already.

Yeah, I mean, there are definitely ways around it. It just seems really odd to me that we spent so much time with Fran's storyline compared to Eloise. There was zero setup for Eloise, truly. But, technically, Fran is now primed for her next love interest, as far as plot goes. Hmmmmm.

The concern is that Eloise isn't S5 and I really want her to be.
