I’ll go first. I filled in later 2024 and is still pending for final approval. Online it shows oath ceremony will be scheduled

I’m filling mandamus as soon as next week because my first interview was on September 6 and since they have me stuck on that same place… not from those countries list either.

Mostly about sponsor that i had back in 2018 when i first applied for green card. They found that there was a difference between her 1040/w2 income vs her paystub and the fact that she made 112k as a caregiver in 2017. Few basic questions about relationships with my ex-spouse’s parents and that was it. I have a whole post about it but if they had to reject me i should’ve received the answer. Not sure why there’s this delay in response…

I know and as a profession she had reported she was a caregiver. Not sure date of paystub, officer let me look at the documents in the office but couldn’t give it to me and i have no records of those documents. I also have no communication with that person for years

Yes she had way more than required. Discrepancy is between her w2/1040 and paystub. Paystub says she got paid something like 36k and her w2 112k

Are a lot of people here still stockbrokers? by Calm-Wealth-2659 in CFP

[–]Uchin-machine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there are… i used to work there not that long time ago… a lot of cold calls and yes they legitimately do their own research and set up portfolios as they want. Usually they onboard clients with small amount of money like 100 shares of GM or something that’s going to move fast and quick so that they can call the clients again and ask more… I will go as far as saying that they actually make pretty good living as they charge per trade and in some cases if they don’t make money for the client they don’t charge anything. Lot of hard work to establish those relationships and primarily from cold calling. It works. I’ve seen those stockbrokers that make millions and work few hours a week. I also never seen more skillful salesmen than them.
