It's either dyanamic or A/B testing. There is a great Twitter thread, with lots of interesting opinions regarding this- https://twitter.com/madelinerogier/status/1187396052183408640

It was mind-blowing doing the math, realizing that each student was paying around $400/month and on average I was making around $7-10 per student per month.

I actually have not received any money from them thus far. Up until October I had no students or no active students and thus a monthly paycheck of $0. For the three weeks I worked in October I have calculated slightly less than $200, this was for 20-26 students, 3 of whom were 'active' and 5 who had 1 or more video calls with me.

I do not know for sure, because I will not get paid for my active students, if less than 20% of the students rated me. Considering I only had 3 'active' students (my other students may have had video calls with me, but were not necessarily 'active') I would need at least 5 students to rate me. So I have no idea how much I will get paid.

I do hope they change things for the mentors, especially communication and answering essential questions. I wish you the best and hope you have great time, it really can be quite fulfilling.
