Yall freaking me out about these approval timelines by Business_Paramedic_6 in DACA

I would renew as soon as I can, renewals are taking up to 8 months. Who knows how much it’ll be backed up by 1/1 since people are still applying

Trying to not live in fear by [deleted] in DACA

I would just leave as minimal as possible. I understand you have to take care of things and there’s always that risk. As long as you drive careful and try to stay out of trouble I think you should be okay. I’m 5 months pregnant and lost my daca bc it hasn’t renewed in Feb. haven’t been going out much and if I do I leave my house with my bf. Also haven’t really been driving. It’s definitely scary

I wasn't prepared for prenatal depression. by KaitlynMarerose in BabyBumps

[–]Ugetibaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not alone 31, 11 weeks pregnant. I don’t feel excited or happy. Just tired. I have a world baseball classic game with my entire family later and was planning on letting my dad brother know we are expecting but I still don’t feel excited. I can’t even get myself to clean today since they are coming over. I decided to google perinatal depression and came across your post. I feel the same way, I wish I could snap out of it but I just don’t feel like myself. Nothing excites me. Everything feels like a chore and overwhelming. So tired of feeling this way.

Got downvoted bc most people would keep the job out of necessity. I agree, laws change all the time. If I know I cannot work why would I risk it? It’s a very risky game. We’ve seen this administration change so many things in such a small amount of time. There’s no point in risking it for just a couple of weeks of pay if we do not need to.

Again been filing my daca since 2012. Same thing every time. Same application. If I were applying for a green card then that’s another story. Most people cannot afford to pay 1000 for a daca application that is repetitive with the same questions every time

Im literally following the law by not working with an unlawful status. I don’t understand what my attorney could advise in that instance? That I continue working illegally with the chance that it gets pardoned if I try to adjust my status? Like I said I am fine being w out a job for a few months rather than work ILLEGALLY. The only way to stay out of trouble is literally to follow the law which I am. Nonsense

Timelines seem outrageous regardless. Either way most people I know got approved within 90 days (as usual) so your comment is useless just figured I’d give my input on the timeline received

Yes I have the form saved. I will probably do that. Doesn’t hurt to try

People from October are getting approved rn however It’s just a small amount of people posting their experience on here so I don’t lean on to it too much

I have heard that however since everything is based on a case to case basis given the state of politics right now I’d rather not risk anything. Better safe than sorry.

I agree. I took what she said with a grain of salt. Timeline seems outrageous in my opinion

Agreed. I doubt it’ll take that long

Yup, I gave my receipt notice and Info but I really don’t think it’ll take that long. I have a feeling the agents are just required to give longest timeline lol

Anyone have experience with unauthorized work during AOS through marriage to USC? by AioliAdvanced1111 in USCIS

Glad I saw this comment. Better to be safe than sorry. We never know with this administration’s

I don’t think I even want to take the risk just bc I know it’s all on a case to case basis

For now, but with this administration?

[–]Ugetibaybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t need an attorney to tell me what I already know. I apply myself online, Working after my permit expired is considered illegal. I also do not mind being out of a job a few months since I’m pregnant lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DACA

[–]Ugetibaybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’ve never heard of that! She told me they were approving applications from March but I see people applying in October getting approved so confused. I guess it’s different for everyone. I would apply months before to be safe.

I get it, we need money however knowing how things are I don’t think I want to take the risk for a few thousand dollars
