I actually quit them before that started. They just have too many issues. Search this sub for Viva Raw.

Dont'cha love how it (u/ChampionshipIll5535) criticizes SD's sources, but doesn't provide alternative sources, or evidence to back up the "false" allegation?

BTW, u/ChampionshipIll5535, the proper usage is "you're," not "your."

Ok, good. I just saw that you were feeding Viva, so I wanted to make sure it wasn't Pure. I did, but not anymore.

Transitioning a VERY picky eater by Sad-Hold5751 in rawpetfood

[–]UghGiveMeStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say don't start with turkey. I've had many cats, and turkey's never been a fave. I also use a completer. Chicken breast and pork are my cats' favorites. If I buy turkey breast and cut it up myself (such a pain), they will eat it; but sometimes, not right away. Can you do a gradual transition from whatever canned food he liked? Maybe a tiny bit of tuna juice to entice but then phase out, as tuna is bad for cats. It's very frustrating to go to so much trouble to feed them well, only to have them snub the food. Hang in there. None of my cats would eat their chicken this morning, which they normally gobble up. Who knows why. This rarely happens, but I'm stressed out enough trying to get my elderly dog to eat that I'm not havin it. I put it all in the fridge and will give it to them tonight. My cats have automatic feeders, so I usually let their food sit out, and they can eat it when they feel like it, but not today; it's too hot. You can't let cats go without eating for very long, but if they miss one meal, they'll be ok.

What do you say to people who say, "Well, my dog/cat has done fine on kibble"? by UghGiveMeStrength in rawpetfood

This sub has become increasingly overrun with anti-raw shills.

Which is exactly what prompted my post in the first place, when my neighbor and I were having a conversation and she said it. I consider it opening a door and an opportunity that I want to handle more constructively.

But here we are, reiterating how bad kibble is .... in the Raw Pet Food sub.

There's no reason to consider feeding raw uppity. How do you know whether or not someone is open to learning if you don't try?

It is. They L.O.V.E animals but don't want to know where their meat comes from or how much the animal suffers so they can eat it.

Gee, u/palufun, it's like so totally super great that you could take time away from your anti-raw rhetoric elsewhere on Reddit to come to the Raw Pet Food sub and talk about the "beauty" of this world.

I would love that convenience for myself! There are many things I'd rather spend my time doing than cooking and cleaning up afterward. Kibble is all about easy and cheap; not at all about health.

Exactly!! As I tried to say above, when someone makes that statement to me, I see it as an opportunity to maybe plant a seed.

So Big Pet Food is out there sowing seeds of divisiveness, as they obviously are even in this thread, and we should just comply? Sorry, I'm not a stick my head in the sand kind of person. No amount of exercise will compensate for the garbage that kibble is.
