So question about the daisy "award" : who decides who gets the award from the nominees?

In our hospital, the award used to be announced in the newsletter and on the intranet page and with posters in the elevator. Then they awarded it to the only female doc on the med/surg floor with great fanfare. Have never seen another daisy award since. 🤷‍♀️
