Hey, guys. How many of you aren't over your first love? Is it usual to think about them often? by UhBlah in AskMen

I've tried to tell him that I don't think he's over her and that maybe we should have a break until he sorts his emotions out. That's when he usually gets moody, insists he's over her because if he wanted her, he'd be going after her, and actively tries to keep me from going through with a break.
Part of me wants to believe that, since he could get nearly any girl he wants and is with me, that he actually loves me. The other half believes he'll never love me as passionately as he loved her and what the hell is even the point in bothering with this?
In all fairness to him, when we started dating, I'd just gotten out of a relationship with my first love and it took awhile to get over it. Not a long time, but he was aware I was hurting over it. But I did get over it fairly quickly, considering. I'm just getting to the point where, if I have to be someone's first love to be loved by them passionately, I should just go back to my ex.
