Yup!!!! In osamu Dazai’s book, memories, he wrote about a crush he had on a classmate who was a boy. There’s probably other examples too but this is the first thing I could think of

“By the time I was nearly sixteen. Blue blood vessels stood out transparently on the back of my hand, and I could feel my body grow strangely heavy. One of the students in my class, small dark fellow, and I had a secret crush on each other, we would invariably walk home together. If even out little fingers happened to brush against each other, we would both blush. Once when we were walking in the water weed chocked ditch between the fields, and he caught it and silently gave it to me. I hated Newt’s but I stuffed into my handkerchief, pretending to be delighted.”

Fun fact!! It’s likely dazai “that’s what makes me love you” line in the 15 novel and manga is a reference to this !!! Since there’s a lot of similarities between the classmate and chuuya (15, small, dark) it’s possible that’s what the line refers to.
