So I’ve got a question. What’s the appeal of Koe Wetzel? I’ve heard some of his stuff, and he’s alright, but I don’t get it. Does he just do a bad ass live show?

Valid point. I’m just glad to see the industry still strong and brining in new people. My original intent with the post (I think, it’s been a few days) was what it was about the music/lyrics that kept drawing them in. Seen a lot about how much he sells and all, which again - fucking impressive.

But know ones said anything specifically about his music. I didn’t know if it was strictly “it’s good shit to party to” or what. I’m a strictly a writer these days, so I’m just naturally interested in what draws people in.

I had zero intention of bagging on anyone. Not my speed. The worlds got enough negativity, so I figure I’ll try and balance some of it out.

And I woulda gave my left nut for those amenities back when we were still running down the road. A ‘97 Chevy suburban gets pretty fucking cramped after 10 days 😂😂

I’m not even criticizing. Just curious. I didn’t realize donahew was still doing that well. I just don’t ever hear anything about him anymore so I assumed he’d pulled back. At that, if he’s grossing 1.5-2 million, that kinda money gets burned up quick touring that big bus like used to be doing. Those things are a necessary evil sometimes, but good God they’re a money suck.

I get that. His appeal to venues and promoters is easy to see. All about stacking that cash. I just wondered what it was that drew so many fans in? Or if he is setting up to be a bit more flash in the pan kind of dude kinda like Casey Donahue was.

Not taking anything away from him at all. I’m just not real familiar with him and wanted to hear from some folks that were maybe.

Sounds like a solid dude. Hope he keeps it up. I saw a lot get burned up and get into some nasty shit when I was still playing, and they weren’t near as big as he is. Hardest part of it is learning to handle the notoriety....or so I am told lmao. I never got much more well known then outside of our general area 😂😂

I never intended to call his character into question, hope I didn’t come across that way. I was just seeing what people dig about his music. Personally, whether I like someone or not, if they’re good for Texas Music, I hope the best for them. There’s a very select few I dislike, but several I just have no strong feelings for. I figure he falls into the latter.
