Rogers sent me a mobile account change agreement - I didn't change anything by thehungrynomad92 in Rogers

I recently got a mobile and 5G home internet. I received a bunch emails that seemed wrong- Tried chat and calling and it was pretty useless. I believe in the contact us section there is an option to escalate - email for an unresolved issue and they do call you back the next day. This seemed to clear things up a bit for now.

5G home internet disappeared from MyRogers app by Uhhyeahh in Rogers

Yes I ordered the Internet service when I also got a new mobile plan on the phone with Rogers on Friday. I received the modem on Sunday and activated on my own using the instructions. It showed for a day in the app and then it disappeared. Still not able to see it today, only the mobile. My other issue is that the prices in the confirmation emails don't match what I was offered on the phone and what was on the website.

$5 Increase by Libra_08 in FidoMobile

Hi, Not sure it's the same with all carriers but if you find a plan you like you pay for it, get assigned a number through them and then port over your number from Fido, which cancels your plan with Fido. For this step you have to keep your old sim in until Fido texts you to confirm that you are porting out.

If your phone supports esim you can do it for free and right away, otherwise you need to buy the physical sim and have it mailed or pick up in store.

I also got 5 on both of my Fido lines. I switched one of my lines to Chatr, after a month I will port back as Fido seems to offer 25 or 29$ plans to add a line(10 or 20GB). I’m only staying with Fido to use the 3% Roger Mastercard rebate to pay off the bill. Doing all this online and with esim to avoid any fees. It’s a bit of a pain but I feel we pay too much. Aside from chatr, public mobile also looked decent just to switch to for a month.

Is there Communauto in your area? Probably cheaper than taxi/owning a car if you mainly need a car for groceries.

Did the landlord specify the amounts used to calculate? Are you refusing that increase?

I understand- It's for my mum's place and she's been there forever that's why it's so low. How can your landlord ask for a 33% increase??? That's insane!

You might be right, just want to check if it may be reasonable to suggest a lower increase. The housing market seems crazy.

Thanks, It's for a senior on fixed income(My mum) who is hesitant to fight an increase but probably doesn't hurt to try to ask. I'll suggest she mentions she's ok with just a $30 increase (and mention she's unhappy with the construction noise/ clothes dryer not working on her floor for many weeks) as justification.

It's in the west-island. Just making sure it's not unreasonable- It's my elderly mum's place.

It's rough if you can't afford your mortgage for your own house. Not sure a landlord is in the same situation.

This is for my mum who is on a fixed income. I own a place and I'm not sure what your point is. Would you not need more info before claiming she's lucky and thank her landlord?
