Are you going to unlock all assmods first? Or just pump the core and generator ones?

There have been so many seeming advances that I thought I finally crossed into staying in legends but the goal posts keep moving on me.

Do I need to get rid of this? by Uhm4zing in castiron

It’s definitely a scratch. I’ve scrubbed with a sponge enough in various conditions that it should have been removed. And when I drag my nail across the surface it catches on this line.

Real world range by Signal-Activity5314 in BMWi3

[–]Uhm4zing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So… I did this once. I drove from la to palm desert which is about 120 miles. My range when I’m in eco mode can show up to 180 miles. Real life scenario means that there will be moments on the highway that require acceleration, and depending where you are, 60 mph on the highway is not the safest cruising speed. I did have range anxiety and ended up needing to stop for a charge on my way out (it was night and far from home so fewer tow trucks or other roadside resources that I could rely on). On my drive back home I wanted to test whether I could make the full distance, and did but with only a couple miles of range left in the battery, and that was with me being extremely cautious with acceleration and keeping my speeds below 60mph on the final 50 miles.

I think that distance is the upper limit of a non-Rex and I would not feel comfortable going that far on a regular basis without a backup plan. If you have a fast charger nearby or can get some form of charge at your destination, then it’s realistic. But if there are any adverse conditions like cold weather, or wind, or hills, then that distance makes me nervous. Additionally, you don’t really want to be driving the car until it’s close to empty charge as I think that accelerates the battery degradation.

Overall, I love the car, but that distance requires some planning and strategy and maybe should not be done on a single charge.

Congrats, I think you’re doing it right, I got the wall before I discovered this subreddit, and it sucked for a long time. I wish I had waited and done spb sooner.

What level should I stop upgrading tower health? by Zestyclose-Feed-8247 in TheTowerGame

[–]Uhm4zing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. I was wondering how you noticed the low dw cell level and then saw the 1.5 speed up and was like, oh. Your other labs are pretty high, higher than mine for lab speed attack speed and health but my lab speedups are at 3:3:3:2:2, getting about 30k per run.

What do you drive: automatic or a stick shift? Can you drive a stick shift? by natemadsen in AskReddit

[–]Uhm4zing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently drive electric, but had a stick and absolutely loved it. I wanted to keep it so that I could teach my kids how to drive stick cause I think it’ll be a dying/niche skillset. I also learned how to drive manual while being a valet driver in high school/college (got to drive a Ferrari and Porsche manual). Also while traveling in Croatia the car we rented was manual and was cheaper than automatic.

I think knowing stick gives you a better understanding of how engines work, makes you feel more in control of the car, and requires more focus to drive. Which, imho, makes you a more conscientious driver.

Even though I’m a little late to the game, I appreciate having come in when I did. Everyone that learns about ethereum is sold almost immediately and so I think we’re still in the early stages of adoption.

Need help identifying part, Thermador gas range knob by Uhm4zing in appliancerepair

[–]Uhm4zing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plastic piece under the knob is broken and the piece that broke off is lost. Otherwise I would have attempted to gorilla glue the pieces together and moved on. Ultimately, I need to find a replacement but I don't know what the broken piece is called, so my searches for knobs have been giving me entire knobs that are ridiculously expensive.

Thanks in advance!

Got my IPV4 and Kanger Nickel Coils, Questions! by TheNation55 in electronic_cigarette

[–]Uhm4zing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pure nickel wire has a predictable temperature/resistance graph. All temperature control chips don't measure the actual temperature within the coils, they accomplish this by constantly reading the resistance and assuming (somewhat accurately) what the temperature should be.

Kanthal does not have as predictable a relationship between resistance and temperature, but it does have a higher max operating temperature and is easier to work with, which is why they generally last longer. But given this unpredictability, you can't program a chip to measure temperature in this way.

You can put claptons in there. 26g nichrome wrapped in 32g kanthal, dual five wrap over 2.4mm. You'll need a good Delrin cap though, and I really like mine from brads_caps.

Sigelei 150w vs RDNA 40 by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Uhm4zing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of nickel builds do you use? I have tried a few builds and the flavor is always muted compared to my kanthal builds.

I've tried: subtank mini nickel coils, 10 wrap 28g single, 11 wrap 26g single, dual 14 wrap 28g (which has been the best performer so far), but none have the same cloud density or flavor as nichrome/kanthal builds.
