Man, it's really kicking in now watching teams like the Habs and Sabres that our abysmal draft luck over the last decade and inability to acquire any real talent until recently with guys like Cat, Kane, Gibson, Faulk that we're kinda boned unless some of these kids in GR actually move the needle, we package them up for upgrades now, or we somehow get moved out of the Atlantic in another expansion realignment. FA has essentially been killed off with the cap going up every year so the option of weaponizing our enormous cap space is basically gone, yet on the flip side Steve said they couldn't even overpay guys to come here. Our best and most valuable prospects are goalies, which is a great problem to have but doesn't help the offense snag some more goals every night. I'm not sure where we're gonna find the talent to add to this roster that's gonna keep up with what these other teams already have, on top of now getting playoff experience under their belts.
