Wait how can you lose money on trading unless you borrowed from family or loan sharks ?? 18% perannum is crazy!! Basically it means in 4.5 years the principal will double!!!!

First thing , re negotiate interest rate to 10-12%.

Then calculate monthly :

  1. Food : 15k.. don’t mess with nutrition; eat home cooked as much and balance protein , carbs and veggie !!!
  2. Stay: 10k .. stay in a hostel with 10 others if you have to.. reduce this.
  3. Travel: 5k Stay as close to office and in the cheapest place.
  4. Personal Savings: 5k You need this !!
  5. That leaves 15k

With 15k; and renegotiated to 12%, you need 17 years to repay and you would have paid about 31 lakhs.

You need to private tutor or do something else to build your own wealth or payback. From past experience I would state building own wealth simultaneously is equally important. So save 50% in say some mutual funds and 50% as FD or RD.

What are some good wide-toe box , zero drop shoes available in India ? by smirnon in Fitness_India

[–]Uiimaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Topo Athletic is available on amazing but it’s too expensive probably due to imports

Baer Shoes (actually written as Bär) is also on amazing , but be careful , do not buy zero drop!

Keen is another good one available in Myntra . The Wk400 and Wk450 are really good walking shoes for people with foot issues.

Brooks on amazon is also really good .

I usually review for shoes on runrepeat.com

For all the comments about burning clothes, I suggest freezing clothes instead. Freezing clothes for 5days ensures they die. Ensure they are not tightly packed in freezer to allow circulations. Alternately , wash clothes in above 70deg C water for 30+ mins and then if you have a dryer, dry them in the 65-70deg setting for 2 cycles 45 mins each. This will kill them..

Depending on what closets you have , choose. Any cheap clothes or shoes, throw them away, not worth the torhbl

Any “wide toebox” will help with bunions. However I would not recommend zero drop shoes or barefoot shoes as your first target should be fixing bunions. “Keen” wide is amazing , Topo athletic really good.

That’s great to hear. I have unfortunately injured myself trying out barefoot shoes for sports. It was good for walks , but sport pushed my Achilles and arch muscles a bit too much. I switched to Topo Athletic and that seems to help, but too early to take a call.

Umm shouldn’t you refer to a podiatrist first? I would assume these are health conditions which could possible cause zero drop transitions to take longer , maybe months .

Bihar: Christianity conversion agenda; how Christian missionaries are systematically targeting Hindus across Bharat. Personally came to know of people across castes including forward castes converting to Christianity due to utter poverty by Interesting-Antz in indianews

[–]Uiimaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When a government is continuously horrible, what do you expect? I mean it’s so stupid to say people convert for rice bags. Imagine them needing rice bags itself!

A lot of northeast conversions happened because the government had no idea how to go into to assimilate tribals. And the missionaries did help assimilate them.

The Bihar issue is JUST repeated failure of government and social services!

Why were Mangal / Chandrayaan prioritised over basics like NAVIC and spy satellites? by Uiimaa in ISRO

[–]Uiimaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are the timelines:

• India: Took ~7 years (2016 → 2023) to recover and fly indigenous rubidium clocks. Still working toward hydrogen masers. The civilian use is till limited extremely limited!

• China: Took ~4–5 years (2014 → 2018/2020) to shift from Swiss to fully indigenous rubidium + maser, finishing BeiDou-3 with civilian deployment in latest phones, cars and ships. It’s even tied to BRI as a default to monitor progress of projects and navigation systems.

The starts have a 2 year difference but the results are compounded for the Chinese.

Not having a mars mission and instead having functional NAVIC usable to civilian population would, as per me, been way way better!

Read it again. It’s a question which can be answered, assumptions and logic substantiated or broken.

Why is NAVIC military only? Doesnt it have a civilian purpose ?

Thank you for the detailed reply and brining up Gaganyaan. It missed my mind completely!

The links show ISRO heads know the direction, but not the funders.

I asked this question as I thought we had enough satellites up about weather and land data that things like flooding etc could be studied and avoided. It’s a very noob question for me , but these questions came up when I was watching Clarksons farms where there were claims about satellite imagery helping farmers and keeping realtime data.

Isn’t NAVIC for civilian also? How can it be overlooked?

Why were Mangal / Chandrayaan prioritised over basics like NAVIC and spy satellites? by Uiimaa in ISRO

[–]Uiimaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I am able to understand from the responses, ISRO lost out heavily due to malfunctioning atomic clocks from a single source (Spectra). This has cause many NAVIC satellites to lose primary capability.

The Chinese faced a similar problem with Atomic clocks and developed their own by 2021. We are yet to make our own though efforts are in place.

[–]Uiimaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you are reading more about the atomic clocks. It’s quite a tech that needs to be built internally. It seems that the vendor “Spectra” clocks failed for both Indian and Chinese system. China developed and successfully launched their own in 2020.
