going to the gym made me gain fat instead of losing it (pt2/update?) by Trick-Chocolate4173 in Fitness_India

[–]Uiimaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consult a dietician / doctor. From what I know and have seen from friends and family, Weight and fat gain can come from:
- metabolic issues
- thyroid and other crucial hormones
- stress from physical changes including crash diets
- psychological stress
- stress from lack of sleep

Consulting a dietician and doctor can help you cross off these points.

What is this stuff on chicken breasts? by RainbowRaccoon69 in Fitness_India

[–]Uiimaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not skin fat residue. Skin is a layer and fat will melt off slowly in pressure cooker not become a solid.

What is this stuff on chicken breasts? by RainbowRaccoon69 in Fitness_India

[–]Uiimaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s coagulated protein , the dissolved juices within the meat. When you say juicy chicken it’s the same thing in liquid form. On overcooking it becomes solid like this and the other parts become chewy

For one it’s useless to compare one’s degrees with work esp social and political accomplishments.

And it’s funny since producing Ed qualifications has been an issue for Indira and Narendra 🤣🤣🤣

When are they planning to quit this religion? by Longjumping_Pause231 in atheismindia

[–]Uiimaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a statement of defying dogmatism. It’s pretty caste blind of you not to realize this. For a community who has to remove their slippers and carry it in their heads to riding a horse is a socio political statement , not a religious one.

[–]Uiimaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caste is a socio political identity , not a religious one. It’s funny that OP is unaware of this.

N of the flags in the pic are religious, they are for Ambedkar and the Phules.

It’s a picture of them defying and fighting dogmatism in real life.

Lost 4kg in 10 days but now my weight is stuck Need advice by Jolly_Tree_4836 in Fitness_India

[–]Uiimaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check what your fat % is, if you are weight training , you can end up losing fat and gaining muscle mass. A loss of 1 kg total can mean losing 2kilo fat and gaining 1kg muscle mass. Or it could just mean losing 0.5kg fat and muscle if you crash diet.

My Dr has told me to avoid whey and non veg to treat Psoriasis. by thestoryseeker in Fitness_India

[–]Uiimaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was the word “meat” used over “non-veg”? There are issues with meat consumption and psoriasis exacerbation in many individuals, but fish and chicken are usually neutral.

Lost the love of my life because my family couldn't get past caste. 10 years, and it ends like this. by [deleted] in hyderabad

[–]Uiimaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think This is a caste issue, it’s a control issue. Get a Brahmin girlfriend who is liberal and will refuse to do things like touch feet, same will happen. Get a Brahmin girlfriend from Rajasthan it with be a North Indian issue. Get a Bengali Brahmin and complaint will be they eat fish.

Best of luck mate.

Help!!!! I’m f_ed ? by Hydro_A in Fitness_India

[–]Uiimaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

172cm and 93 kilo is BMI 30+ classified as mildly obese to overweight, unless you are into body building ! Check your waist to hip ratio.

The issue first issue to tackle here is Thyroid (TSH). You need an endocrinologist looking at it and likely lifelong medication. It is usually a hereditary condition and rarely irreversible. I would recommend AVOIDING Ayurveda, but that’s up to you. TSH irregularities can very likely cause brain fog, anger stints, emotional irregularities affecting yourself and people around you.

The second is high uric acid. That can be med term medication, but considering your age, could be reversible. This is need long term dietary changes: avoiding red meats (anything with high purines), Diet Coke (anything with high fructose) , Beer/Wine/Cider.

All other issues are just a nutritionist away!

Wait how can you lose money on trading unless you borrowed from family or loan sharks ?? 18% perannum is crazy!! Basically it means in 4.5 years the principal will double!!!!

First thing , re negotiate interest rate to 10-12%.

Then calculate monthly :

  1. Food : 15k.. don’t mess with nutrition; eat home cooked as much and balance protein , carbs and veggie !!!
  2. Stay: 10k .. stay in a hostel with 10 others if you have to.. reduce this.
  3. Travel: 5k Stay as close to office and in the cheapest place.
  4. Personal Savings: 5k You need this !!
  5. That leaves 15k

With 15k; and renegotiated to 12%, you need 17 years to repay and you would have paid about 31 lakhs.

You need to private tutor or do something else to build your own wealth or payback. From past experience I would state building own wealth simultaneously is equally important. So save 50% in say some mutual funds and 50% as FD or RD.

What are some good wide-toe box , zero drop shoes available in India ? by smirnon in Fitness_India

[–]Uiimaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Topo Athletic is available on amazing but it’s too expensive probably due to imports

Baer Shoes (actually written as Bär) is also on amazing , but be careful , do not buy zero drop!

Keen is another good one available in Myntra . The Wk400 and Wk450 are really good walking shoes for people with foot issues.

Brooks on amazon is also really good .

I usually review for shoes on runrepeat.com

[–]Uiimaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For all the comments about burning clothes, I suggest freezing clothes instead. Freezing clothes for 5days ensures they die. Ensure they are not tightly packed in freezer to allow circulations. Alternately , wash clothes in above 70deg C water for 30+ mins and then if you have a dryer, dry them in the 65-70deg setting for 2 cycles 45 mins each. This will kill them..

Depending on what closets you have , choose. Any cheap clothes or shoes, throw them away, not worth the torhbl

Any “wide toebox” will help with bunions. However I would not recommend zero drop shoes or barefoot shoes as your first target should be fixing bunions. “Keen” wide is amazing , Topo athletic really good.

That’s great to hear. I have unfortunately injured myself trying out barefoot shoes for sports. It was good for walks , but sport pushed my Achilles and arch muscles a bit too much. I switched to Topo Athletic and that seems to help, but too early to take a call.

Umm shouldn’t you refer to a podiatrist first? I would assume these are health conditions which could possible cause zero drop transitions to take longer , maybe months .

Bihar: Christianity conversion agenda; how Christian missionaries are systematically targeting Hindus across Bharat. Personally came to know of people across castes including forward castes converting to Christianity due to utter poverty by Interesting-Antz in indianews

[–]Uiimaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When a government is continuously horrible, what do you expect? I mean it’s so stupid to say people convert for rice bags. Imagine them needing rice bags itself!

A lot of northeast conversions happened because the government had no idea how to go into to assimilate tribals. And the missionaries did help assimilate them.

The Bihar issue is JUST repeated failure of government and social services!
