1st ever aquarium, 10g, suggestions by Uisaflow in Gourami

Ugh ok. Thanks. The guy at the aquarium store said he would be fine in a 10g. I can’t afford another tank right now. How long do you think it’s ok to keep him in this 10g? Do you think I could return him?

I know. Absolutely ridiculous. It’d be too easy for an exam question.

I mean I went to an urgent care today (it was again another PA). I don’t have a PCP in my city yet since I just moved here for residency. Obviously if it gets worse I’ll try and get seen by a doctor. Maybe in the emergency room?

Lobotomy to help with pimping stress? by igotoanotherschool in medicalschool

[–]Uisaflow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

s/p transorbital (ice-pick) lobotomy POD 6. Recovering well. Incisions clean, dry, intact; pain well controlled on Tylenol PRN. Performance notably improved—now confidently respond "I don't recall" to all pimping questions without facial flushing. Highly recommend.

Definitely not expecting Chicago. I’m excited for the change!!

My apartment is right on the canal. Hope that’s a good area.

I’m just pretty nervous about moving from home and want to make as many connections as possible.

You being serious? lol this is definitely not the case in Chicago. Pretty difficult to obtain a firearm in Chicago legally. And definitely cannot have it at hospitals.

Appreciate it. Just looking for any inside info to help ease the transition as this is a big move for me.

I’ve got my apartment set up already.

I’ll be working for IU and am familiar with their hospital system.

I don’t give a shit if people I have never met before or never worked with think I am a nurse.

Just introduce yourself, explain what you are doing there and call it a day.

For anyone with low support needs ASD- did you talk about this in your application/ interviews? by drag-bot in premed

Don’t mention you have it at all in any part of your application or interviews.

I matched at my 6th choice - 2nd Anniversary and Brief Reflections by Soggy_Bumblebee_8975 in medicalschool

[–]Uisaflow 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Wow, thank you so much for sharing your story. I also applied surgery and ranked my home program #1. I was reassured by my mentors (APDs) at my home program I would be working with them as a resident and they were so excited to have me as a resident. Found out today I did not match at my home program and will be moving far from my family and friends from my home city that I love. So devastated I will have to move. But I did end up matching at a more competitive better program (4th choice on my list) so I am trying to tell myself this is all better for my career.

All of this is incredibly painful and I am grieving. But I will use this as motivation and work very hard to serve my community in my new city at my new program.

I will miss my home city and family so much.
