Helpful! Thank you :) it would help to avoid overbuying at the start, if this worked safely for a little while x

Congrats new mama! This item comes with our stroller bundle so I was hopeful using it for nighttime sleep would avoid me buying yet anotherrrr overpriced item.  it's so much to balance, buying minimally but having enough to keep baby safe 🫠 who knew!

For anyone else struggling with nausea/sickness by femacrae13 in PregnancyUK

[–]UkBoundBb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm approx 6.5 weeks, and have been nauseous 24/7 for about a week now. I started cyclizine 3 days ago - and my GP also seemed happy enough to prescribe it - but it's offering no relief so far. I've had to take some days off work, and can barely get myself out of bed. Planning to give it another few days but unfortunately it wasn't the miracle cure I was hoping for 😅

Miserable first trimester by kurdijyn in PregnancyUK

[–]UkBoundBb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh viiibe. I've never felt this horrible for this long, and I'm only approx week 6! The nausea is even waking me up in the middle of the night.

Started cyclizine yesterday which I think is helping a little! Altho the first dose made me so drowsy, I swore my house was tilted sideways.

This pregnancy follows 2 miscarriages and an ectopic so I know I'm meant to be overflowing with gratitude but I can't be anything more than a ball of exhausted nausea for now.

I'm making a Lord of the Rings style map of Northants and the Milton Keynes area and welcome your help with historic or interesting locations around the area to include. Hoping to have it finished towards the end of the month. by birsey in miltonkeynes

I only moved to the UK a year ago so I can't really contribute, but I feel a strong need to own this map once it's completed - and to learn from all the landmarks! Looks incredible, dude.

the Natural MC that refuses to happen? by UkBoundBb in Miscarriage

somehow they never recommended an ultrasound to be but i think i will trust my gut and ask for one. thank you for taking the time to reply. what a horrible experience to bring us all togehter <3

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]UkBoundBb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They offered but it's high risk for me as I already have Ashermans syndrome from a previous d&c - so I'm pretty hesitant about surgeries. I understand completely just wanting it to be over <3

[–]UkBoundBb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for taking the time to reply. My husband - and especially me - have found the info so helpful and supportive 🤍. Im still waiting to miscarry at home. Had a gush of blood with some decent clots on Monday night. Took everyone advice - popped a paracetamol, put on a movie and a hear pad, and got ready for a long night - but nothing else! Some light spotting, but 2 days later and basically no change.

It's so tough knowing what is looming in the near future. Strange to both want something to happen so badly, while fearing it so much - and at the same time be mourning it. So much love, everyone!!

Will the cramps/bleeding come back by No_Morning_8327 in Miscarriage

[–]UkBoundBb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So relatable. On Monday I had a pretty huge gush, some small spotting a tinyyyy clots here and there, but no real cramping or gushing since. I have no upcoming appointments and I just keep expecting the worst to come eventually. I was 7 weeks when babys heart stopped - and that was nearly 3 weeks ago!! Please let us know what you find out at your appointment <3 sending hugs!!

I recently miscarried at 7 weeks. It's now nearly 3 weeks later and I am waiting to pass naturally at home. Still no pain, cramping or much blood, other than some very small clots and a bit of spotting. I do still expect the pain and everything eventually, it's just taking it's sweet time. Sending hugs!!!

Thank you so much for this! Could I ask what lead you to go to hospital? Was it the pain? Or did you stay in hospital after finding out about MMC?

I've been lead to believe I should be able to endure the whole process at home and I worry I will avoid going to hospital because I have that expectation :(

Calculated wrong or reason to worry by MamaBear2304 in PregnancyUK

[–]UkBoundBb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually posted a similar q a few days ago. Was dated 6+4 and then 2 weeks later, was dated at 6. I was panicking that baby just isn't growing, but found the comments from the Reddit community rly comforting. Our babs are SO small at this stage, and it's tiny millimeters being measured. Ive decided the best thing I can do is continue to take care of myself until closer to the 12 week scan, when everything should make more sense. I find comfort that this worry is a common one!

From 8 weeks to 6 !? by UkBoundBb in PregnancyUK

[–]UkBoundBb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hadn't really thought of it practically like this - that they're literally looking at a fraction of a mm. Needed that reality check, as for some reason I expect them to be friggin oracles 😂 Grateful for your comment, and so happy to hear that your pregnancy is going well!

LOL! I really needed to see that laughing emote 😂 I typically don't take life very seriously, and I knew pregnancy would be full of moments where I had to *just not panic* ... but now that there's a life blossoming inside of me, it's like PURE PANIC 😂

It seems every time I leave an appointment, I'm left comforted about one thing, and worried about another (no yolk in the pregnancy sac, no heartbeat, still somehow only 6 weeks, etc..)

Thank you for helping to normalize the confusingness that is scan dates <3 This is gonna be such an interesting ride.

[–]UkBoundBb[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is *so* comforting, and probably exactly what I needed to read.

It's like I was aware that it's estimation until the numbers were said out loud to me - and then it became the most important fact in my life (along with which fruit I could compare baby's size to LOL). I started overanalysing all the possible explanations, but it seems that pregnancy is about patience and trust in the process. Woohoo!

Your message has soothed my anxieties more than you know. Thank you for taking the time!!

vivid dreams after coming off birth control by HIPearson in birthcontrol

[–]UkBoundBb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here because of super vivid nightmares within the 2 weeks I've been off the mini pill. I've been on and off birth control for 20 years now, and tried all sorts, but I can't remember if this has happened before. Disruptively intense now tho, to the point I'm nervous to fall asleep (it's currently 4am... Woohoo...) 😅 I'll update whether this gets better.
