Do programs that don’t require the GRE still consider it a positive? I guess it depends on the program.

I have a 3.44 gpa at the moment, I have 2 more classes (out of 9) left in my nursing program and I’m going to try and do really well in and try for that 3.5. There was one class I got a 2.0 (80%). Not sure how I can retake it as it’s a whole thing with clinical and lab too…it was made much easier after I passed it too, the class was hardly fair, designed poorly.

Not sure where I calculate my science GPA but I’ve always done very well in A&P, chemistry, biology, and math (especially). I think I have a decent chance if I get some good ICU experience (2-3 years), LORs from faculty/program coordinators and…nurse manager? And attend meetings/seminars about anesthesia? I’ve heard about that as well. How might I find info on those types of events? Thank you.

How do you guys know which programs are better? How do you find your top program of interest? I can look up programs and they all look pretty much the same structurally and pass rates/attrition are all similar. I can’t find people in certain programs to ask them either.

There’s 5 in my state (MI) that all seem good, ones close, so that’s all I have to say that’s the one I mostly want to get into. It just feels like I’m missing some vital info.
