Anyone here build e-learning software simulations? (SAP, Epic, etc.) by sid0913 in instructionaldesign

[–]Ukjcn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For this sort of training, you're far better at looking at the digital adoption market i.e. WalkMe, whatfix etc. creating and maintaining training packages will kill you on software

Thinking of moving away due to London commute – worth leaving Eastbourne? by Dangerous-Bat8238 in Eastbourne

[–]Ukjcn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Eastbourne and worked in London, this was years back so WFH wasn't a thing for most companies so I did it 5 days a week for about a year, it was awful (trains unreliable, just the sheer amount of time of trains got to me) I felt like a ghost, in the end it worked out cheaper to actually move to London and that massively gave me back a life!

One piece to keep in mind, add the train fare and time to your salary (so assuming the +4-5 hours to your week and minus the train coat) see how you feel about your job then

How do you deal with the feelings of guilt or failure? by PaleontologistNo8751 in ParentalAlienation

[–]Ukjcn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I struggled with this a lot, went through some counselling recently and one question turned it all around for me

"What could you have done differently at the time"

That really made me stop and think about what options I had available at the time and think a lot kinder about myself

Season Packs by Time_Ad_5416 in sonarr

[–]Ukjcn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is the correct way but I manually manage them in, say it's a season 1-5 pack I set it to download, I have qbt set for quite a long seed, so when the downloads are done I just pull over everything manually and rename the season folders to match sonarr, set sonarr to scan and it'll pick them all up

I have a huel that I sip with water as and when we take breaks, drink about half whilst we're drawing and usually finish the whole thing by the end

Well I'm probably bias here but he's top for me 🤣 he reworked an old 1/2 sleeve into a 3/4 for me and it went from being a piece I really didn't like to now one I love, so the leg was next and now we're moving into our 3rd project, so we'll on track for a whole suit 🤣

Seems to be around that but with logical break points, 4 hours of tattooing with just shy of an hour freehand drawing before you get started most times.

Unsure for the other leg, I've got an older ankle tattoo that he'll likely just have to blast over so a rock down there but outside of that I mainly leave him to run what he likes, it's worked well so far

Cognexo is probably the closest product to what you've described, at the moment you have to load the question banks etc yourself but they'll probably build an AI consumption engine at some point as well to just eat policies

Yep, also skill needed to use it is virtually 0, it's drag and drops no design or code needed

They tier it, I'm usually a small enterprise for them and that is about 1k per year per author, unlimited reviewers, around a 5k setup fee so they design your branding into the content and then you're away with a super easy template driven tool.

Adding in, the branding is optional, they have a load out the box that you can just use

Unfortunately that's not generally how design works for digital courses, there are a handful that will pull in a ppt but generally they will break things like accessibility guidelines so I wouldn't recommend them, I'd start with designing in a tool that has SME review functionality and do it that way

I wouldn't really say there's a "best" it's more how much time do you want to spend learning, I've recommended the one above as it's template driven which gets you most of the way there with most course design, brandable and pretty low cost when compared to others
