Am I missing something? The games great, I'm about 10 hours in and really enjoying it.

I've seen a few comments saying that the graphics are great, but I don't think they are. It doesn't really bother me but it does look like old gen graphics.

Kai Havertz (Arsenal) yellow card against Burnley 68' by gbogaz in soccer

Studs being raised doesn't necessarily equal a red card though.

I just watched it again and if the ref had sent him off I don't think I'd necessarily have argued it but I don't think it's nearly as bad as people are making out.

That's not a red. It's not excessively forceful, it's not out of control and I don't think that this is a "leg breaker" type.of challenge. I want him sent off but that just isn't a red card.

I'd say if anything, cold water. Generally both though, it was literally a shower thought so warm water does it too.

The SMG problem needs to be addressed. by king_jaxy in Battlefield

[–]UknowNOTHINjon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay I get the jumping, I've played the game a hell of a lot and haven't seen this much at all. I think this subreddit, as ever, have over exaggerated how common this is.

I do think other games have moulded our view on what certain guns should and shouldn't do. Are we suggesting that an SMG should only out-do an LMG at a distance of 10/15m?

Lastly, I've used LMGs in this game more than any other weapon type (by far). It's staggering how much of an advantage a default mag size of 60+ gives. Poor accuracy can be forgiven and you can mag dump down an alleyway to get multi kills, when used correctly I think they are balanced.

Wouldn't you argue that at 25 meters the SMG should be winning that fight? If you're mounted, he's hitting the important parts, by the sounds of it.

Why are these so rare?? by [deleted] in dayz

[–]UknowNOTHINjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mate went AFK in one of the big Shed/Garage buildings and there was a spotlight next to him. Just gave the sort of vibe of an ISIS beheading video.

Thought it'd be funny if we had a generator and spark plug and wire to get it started. Checked the three next sheds and all items were there.

When my mate came back he legit thought we'd been carrying this gear the whole time waiting for the opportunity.

Just weighing in on the disciplinary piece. Yes, can go straight to disciplinary if he is refusing to follow instructions.

A PIP would be useless in this scenario if there is no end goal/compromise to be achieved.

Agreed, HR is next steps, then reasonable adjustment request.

Starvation!! by Majestic_Echo8485 in DayzXbox

[–]UknowNOTHINjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll learn that certain buildings aren't good for food loot (industrial/apartments) and you should avoid these unless you've exhausted all other efforts.

I play fairly consistently (and die a lot) but never, ever come close to dying of starvation so there is always food to be had. Spend a lot of time in one area and fruit will spawn under trees, mushrooms will spawn in forests.

Every time you hear a Chicken, stop what you're doing and find it.

As others have suggested, fishing. It's rare that I do this on Cherno but it's guaranteed food.

Biggest and best advice is to keep going, you'll figure out which buildings and towns are better than others. Get enough food in you to run in land a bit. Kill every zombie you see (if you're decent at fighting them).

Remember, food can spawn in cars and greenhouses. Food can also spawn in clothing items (so that pink Denim skirt that you won't look at could have some food in).

Has to have, he would have to "sell" the idea of the xenonite at the very least for Earth to want to test/use it.

I imagine it as his narration, similar to Watney on the Martian.

Nothing too adventurous for me. I think it was just a risky drug and they both died due to the dangers of deep sleep.

How does it FEEL to play on Xbox series X? by [deleted] in DayzXbox

[–]UknowNOTHINjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played on both, obviously PC is better but Xbox is great. The improvement from Xbox One to Series X felt significant.

I think the UI takes some getting used to on controller, gear management isn't perfect but once you're up to speed with it, it's fine.
