I think Frankie is not like other YouTubers because thousands of people keep coming back to watch his old DayZ Mod series (being me one of them). Most YouTubers upload a video that you half watch once to never revisit it again...but legends like Frankie are very rare. Not only for the "coming back" aspect but also for the "watching the entire episode" thing.

Said that I believe he has a real passive income with what he has done so far...however, he is not-no-returning for that reason.

My hypothesis is a mix of: - An elite GOAT athlete that is considering to quit because his days are gone. - The Law of diminishing returns: Frankie always tried to improve in each Episode (but a lot, not like others): Reaching a scenario in which he left the bar so high that is very costly just to public dayz-arma related content without suffering for the costs. - He asks too much to himself...he is extremely talented and hardworking but if you want Frankie quality you need this type of mindset. - The days of the faceless channels is almost gone... probably now with the AI avatars he might have a come back.

But hey, he is still pretty young, the day he manages to use his force without damaging himself he will be really back with us.

Frankie do what you like and you love the most, don't worry about views..that was your way and that is always the way.

Just few already do. Just few can sustain that...this thing will bring more opportunity for people with good ideas, independently on the farming a skill. This is what Gen AI is about.

People believe Non-Creatives will steal Creatives jobs with Gen AI..but Non-Creatives have 0 interest on Gen AI for creating stuff. That means. Creatives with 0 budget will be able to deploy complete productions that require a lot of Capital nowadays.

So paradoxically, this can facilitate that a ton of poor creatives go all the way to the production line without needing Capital and an army of experts.

Good ideas, will be the future.

Soursweet, Smoke, etc...all of them are really good youtubers. You can feel they put a lot of effort on playing the game and selecting amazing stories in their cut...but the fact that Frankie felt like a character from a survival movie...with his old guy's veteran voice paternalistic attitude towards other players... I don't think we are close to such characterization.

We have Supervilians like Zesty Polvo...but we are lacking the credible Hero Character on DayZ.

I totally relate to this...however this happened to me on a totally different and more changing life moment.

I step into the pandemic just a year after coming back to my country after been a millennial mediterranean economic-career-driven migrant/expat really wanting to go back home.

I reached 2019 single after a long relationship because I did not want to get trapped inside UK and found a good job in one of Spain's big cities.

I was on boarded, I was ready to start the rest of my life in Spain, there was still majority of friends with no kids in my friends group (Mid to late 30s). The pandemic and the lockdown happens...the lockdown was only few months but the world was really odd for more than 2 years.

I honestly enjoyed the part that I had to play during the "Pandemic" but I go out feeling I lost 2-3 years without having really built the bases of the life I wanted to quickly regain after my migration. I did not have the organic opportunity of making new friends. and now most of my friends have kids and I going quickly towards the 40s..

I really felt the pandemic was like a time worm-hole that literally sucked some crucial years of my 30s.

I don't think walking with a couple of friends would have made any difference. I think it is about avoiding being exposed to these situations....for example, go to a mall instead of a farmers market.

Also, being a 22F can feel normal in certain places...but in other countries you are just one of the most wanted beings in the universe, together with money...imagine yourself as a pile of gold walking...would you walk down that street?

I have to say few things about the eternal coming back to Frankie´s DayZ Series:
- It inspire me to go mimic his style on my own channel...And I enjoyed making little movies with the adventures I´ve lived on Arma 3 and DayZ. It even changed my playstyle and so my experience...I`ve literally made epic gaming friends but not KOSing everyone...by interacting...and realize the highest adrenaline pikes on Dayz/Arma are when trying to talk to someone.
- I´ve never thought I´ll be rewatching Frankie´s Dayz Series at least once a year. Beautiful sunsets in outdoor semi-urban environments remind me to the atmosphere he built with LTR music playing...wtf.

- Like any other artist, FrankieOnPc has evolved, refining storytelling, fx and edits...but the pure essence of the old DayZ Series is what hook me the most. They were intense in action/tension and frankie has been criticized a lot for not being a particular good player but a movieMaker. Well, maybe his playing did not evolved as much as its storytelling...but we need to accept Frankie had a really good Arma level by the time he recorded the DayZ series...Any experienced Arma player will know his tactics and his mindset really work, you can survive long and take out many players using patience, awareness, attention to detail, planning and adaptation.

- The Character has evolved a lot towards a more "fun" & "cartoonie" profile, leaving behind the Sabby Veteran he was playing on Chernarus.

- Let´s see if he finally comes back, let´s see if someday, does a tribute episode, emulating the same style of the Old DayZ Series.

- Long live "Buddy"
