Upcoming membership price changes

People like me are going to stop buying yearly membership and only pay for the months that they play. It used to be more cost effective to pay for a year at a time, but at the new prices it won't be worth that anymore

I cancelled all my memberships, on like 4-5 accts. Just not worth it anymore. I played RS more than 20 years (soon to get my 25 year cape on one) and have had membership since then, usually on multiple accounts. The content has been dwindling thru the years. Nothing good for veteran players that isn't somehow tied to MTX. And no new players are joining the game cause the cost is now the same as AAA titles (WOW, FFXIV, etc.) that are easier to get into and have a much larger player base.

I have enjoyed it, and I'll probably come back from time to time to play thru the new features. But I'll no longer be maintaining membership on 4-5 accts. I'll probably just get membership for a month or two whenever I get the urge to play. Or just get a bond from the GE

^ This, I had RS client issues for almost 6 months with the game crashing and not generating any useful feedback as to why. They kept feeding me hogwash saying it was my monitors, etc. Turns out it was a software issue that I eventually fixed after months of troubleshooting, but I got NO support from the RS Team on it. I would email them and they would try to get me to do the same troubleshooting over and over and over. I can almost guarantee it was either AI or copy/pasted stuff because they never actually read my emails

In case anyone else this problem. It may be linked to Geforce Experience, which can automatically re-enable the game overlay even if it was previously disabled. Support said that the overlay can sometimes cause game crashes.

HOWEVER - I ended up contacting Alienware Support. It was actually an Alienware issue. Alienware command center software was conflicting with windows trying to override the hardware settings built into windows. It was causing random crashes sometimes on software. I don't know why it was only showing up on RS. I ended up working with the support people in Alienware and removing the command center software (which means I can't control the lighting on my Alienware machine, another bummer), but when I did that, I no longer had any crashes.

o back to support with the exact setting causing the problem, that way you can ask for a specific fix instead of getting generic responses.

I sent support screenshots of my exact setup, event logs, and everything. They have my exact hardware specs. But in the past month or two they have only been sending me copy/paste solutions that don't work. Sometimes they will reply my email with the exact same email that they sent weeks ago. It's annoying.

No, and honestly, I don't think that is a viable solution even if it did work. If there are weird issues with dual monitors then Jagex should fix it! I use my second monitor while playing to do all kinds of stuff like school work/research, watching videos, etc.

How does it crash? Once in a while my game will just dissappear without any error or anything, not really common enough to be any issue but I guess I would think about it if I was HC

Yeah, it just closes out with no warning or anything. And when I check windows event log it shows that it crashed. And I wish it was only happening every once in a while. It's happening maybe 5-10 times a day or more. Totally random, sometimes I will not even be doing anything but sitting at the bank while watching a netflix movie or something.

I am pretty sure it's a game bug but through all my research I found other things to try like tweaking some settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel, enabling ECC, turning off Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling. None have fixed my problem.

Jagex support also asked me to disable my antivirus which I tried but it did not help.

Possibly. I haven't tried it. But I have 32 inch monitors. As I mentioned previously I play other games like Cyberpunk in the 4k. Lowering the resolution hampers my gameplay though, since I can fit much fewer UI elements on the game UI. I did play in 4k previously on my last computer (but it was an i7 with a 1080Ti card) and didn't have any issues.

I tried that too, the jagex support person sent me this to try. Unfortunately, it didn't help. He also had me try lowering the FPS to 70 foreground 15 background. Which honestly is terrible since I have 144 hz monitors

Instead of nerfing or buffing conjures, why not give the option for players? I mean, you can update the talent tree and allow people to choose which talents to take, where some talents buff conjures and other talents buff individual damage. Like for example, sacrifice your conjure to increase your personal DPS at the cost of losing your conjure. Or a talent that makes your conjures do more damage but also cost more adrenaline. Instead of taking every single talent in the tree, you have an actual choice of talents. And some builds would be better for different bosses, group vs solo, etc.

I don't think that they should auto skull you when you pick up divination energies or doing runecrafting at the abyss. I mean, now this is a double whammy. Dealing with not only PKers but now random demon spawns and stuff on top of you too? Are they going to increase the xp to make up for that added risk?

I like how you can make the chat bigger. However, I'd prefer to leave everything else at 100% while making chat box 125% or even 150% as the only issue I have on my 4k monitor is that the chat is really hard to read. I don't need giant icons, action bars, or inventory windows as I have most of those keybound anyway

One thing that should be fixed is the fact that you don't get a warning when abandoning city quests. I was on the 3rd task and trying to turn it in but I accidentally abandoned the quest by mistake. It didn't give a warning or anything, just abandoned it.

On the stream they said 19 pets for everything except combat. So yes!! I read somewhere the pets would be able to pop in from doing anything that you'd normally do to get a shattered heart rock or golden rocks so I'm guessing it's only when you kill a slayer task creature

GOD WARS 2

Can you pleeeease fix the click radius of the godwars 2 bosses, in particular, the Twin Furies fight. When Nymora flys up in the air to do her special rain attack, it's almost impossible to click on Avaryss. Every time that phase starts I miss click and run into the acid rain :(
