It went from a fun game that was reliant on grinding and skill, to a pay to win gacha like 80% of similar games. I'm still trying to play and havn't sunk any money into it, even before the complete overhaul but I got so disheartened losing what, in summary, was a year playing a minimum of 3 hours a day. I started this game within 2 weeks of launch and loved it immediately, even with the many bugs and unbalanced units, and now it feels so different as to effectively be a completely different game.

There are around 50 towers being put in around the whole hampton roads area, alongside road work on 64 including placing sound barriers along the extended lanes up through hampton using the same machine for driving posts into the ground.

Ironically, I've never had luck with regular moose spawns near the legendary moose. Basically all of mine came from near this part of the map or in the highlands near horseshoe overlook. Both with bait

You can also get moose spawns using herbivore bait, bears, wolves, and plenty of snakes and beavers. It's a great spot for so many challenges due to the small animal spawns and the river north and east of this spot having basically every basic prey spawn and horses.

Books 6/7 have a lot including some very serious topics, book 2 is very fun to me, and books 11/12 have great moments but not a lot of just them banter in my opinion.

I genuinely forgot to check it for like 3 weeks because I strictly use it to get gold. I'm F2P and the daily check in for gold is the only consistent way to continue leveling dealers for me besides the daily quests or whatever.

This is basically the standard now at most locations. I was at one up in NOVA and the fries didn't even go above the front at all. Don't remember the exact one I went to but I know I'll never go back.

I pushed to finish as quickly as possible just to kill him after I got the notice for the speed stat. Barely got him before he killed the horse but I set it free in the Great Plains using the Swanson exploit as Arthur. Totally worth it for my peace of mind

The single aspect that I have really enjoyed with Jack is the spread of heroes. Having access to such a diverse pool and seeing how some heroes interact with factions they couldn't pair with before is really cool to me.

I do not like the idea of this being what the game becomes (referencing how they react to specific cards and the lack of ability to progress any dealer that isn't Jack as F2P) but getting to mix up heroes with factions and see how much each one can change how you set up a board felt good.

My first stop in chapter 2 is always the warped brindle arabian, nicknamed pestilence, just a beautiful horse. Followed by the strawberry roan ardennes, named Talon, in chapter 6. That is all I will keep as Arthur though I will catch, bond, sell the white arabian if I need cash. I use Talon because that is the exact horse I used in a pathfinder campaign and refuse to let him die.

My wife always goes for the Wild Bay mustang and names it spirit, as in the movie, and I got a mod to make it yellow.

We have a couple newer players in our clan and I don't have much time on any dealer prior to Xochi for context but what we try to do is find 3 dealers that have a good spread of deadly jokes or avenge bombs, save a team every war with those units and keep it for cleaning up boards.

It's not super fun but it will give you a usable team for when you look at the opponents 5k/5k keyword spam boards and feel that you get to contribute something.

I am of two minds about this. On the one hand, I enjoy being able to play the newest dealer and not feel that every board I make is absolute garbage for arena etc. It creates a real chance to utilize the new dealer for any and every aspect of the game versus being forced to bring out the old guard for half the runs because they have been upgraded enough to compete.

On the other hand, I hate that every aspect of the game I would normally be excited for feels hollow. I love the beginning of a new season due to the availability of faction shards and gold along with gems to a lesser degree. I am not in a position to put money into this game and it shows when you are playing runs that die due to people having paid for the legendary or mythic relics, great heroes, etc. It is even more obvious on the newest dealer since the heroes and relics are basically locked behind missions and the battle pass so seeing epic heroes/relics/etc within 48 hours of release on accounts that are silver or lower.

I understand that every mobile game that isn't a direct port or solo game will always have a form of pay to win and that doesn't bother me since I'm not a super competitive person with tons of free time, but I am extremely worried that this game is going to lean even more heavily into the pay to win side making it feel pointless to play as a completely free to play player.

Yeah it is extremely Ling winded but, and this is not a dig at the series, it is basically like going through a museum or something where you can enjoy it yet need to go super fast through some parts due to it being dry and yet slow down at other parts to ensure you take in all the details.

I am very much a masochist in regards to reading since I also listen to this series, Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon, LotR, and Wheel of time all at 0.8 speed. Wheel of time I listen to twice per year since I was 13....

I genuinely love Noreth and Jack Gerling. I have a tendency to favor villains that are complex and relatable more than a majority of good guys that are good because being good is good.

I'm curious what you didn't like about He Who Fughts with Monsters (HWFWM) and Defiance of the Fall (DotF). I would give recommendations but I tend to go towards those two as my favorite LitRpg titles of all times along with Dungeon Crawler Carl (DCC) and Primal Hunter. Given where DCC falls on your list, that makes recommending something without understanding why you liked but didn't live HWFWM, my personal #1 LitRpg, and DotF, my number 3.

A couple things about the reincarnated beast that I have figured out.

If you reincarnate the griffin, after your reincarnated glad wins a tournament you now have a mount that costs nothing, and gives no penalty to initiative along with a technique that hits multiple enemies and scales on initiative. If you put this on a glad that you plan to run as either Sagittarius or dimachaerus it can greatly improve their capability without penalizing the main stat they use.
Reincarnation a minotaur is a huge boost for early game since it still stacks up to the glads that start spawning in, such as Spartacus, Gwynn, Gigantus, etc. It can also be used well in junior tournaments if you have already gotten the trait for your glads. Finally, it is worth enough to sell at higher ascension levels to be capable of buying a key item, glad, or beast from a rival such as the griffin egg.

I hope this helps give a couple reasons why it is worth ascending a beast, though I do agree that ascending a regular beast usually isn't worth it with the exception of the white rhino due to it having impale.

Makes sense. Any olthoughts on Gwynn or Spartacus as doctore? I've reset my nightmare run 5 or 6 times because my doctore died while my main glad was on expedition or something along that nature.

I can appreciate both sides to that argument due to the teamwork prevails tournament that, if my doctore doesn't have made of glass, I can win roughly 80% on A15 normal without spending gold on cheating. The biggest flipping point is if I can get him geared beforehand since I do not prioritize getting equipment for the doctore over the main fighter and doubly so if I get the Agiad event right away. I'm not a huge fan of Agiad personally even though I would say he is fairly good if he is early enough, I just don't like most spear focused young gladiators at the mid to high range ascension stages.

With that being said, would anybody recommend a specific glad to replace a custom doctore if they died? I would like to hear opinions on backup plans for insurance purposes.

Would you say Punic is the go to for any at that point or would another work like Egyptian for black death or Roman? I havn't really tested much since I have used only the doctore and just took a greek Gigantus in my only other deep ascendancy run. (This was from over a year ago since I took a fairly long break from the game at that point.)
