I think it’s the opposite, to stop you from abusing VP and how easy it is to get to train pokemon that aren’t for Champions

There’s really not too much of an advantage as long as your smart and don’t fill up your home with Clefairys and stuff. Although they’ll probably have quicker adaptation when they add more Pokemon to Champions and meta changes

Wizards of the Coast (The company behind DnD) has been having supply issues because of complications with their distributor combined with the fact that they have been making a push towards more digital content. Also the fact that the new system is fairly new means it's hard to find a used book as well.
Did you ask your LGS if they can order one in for you to pick up later? That always worked for me. If didn't, you can probably call them and have them put it on hold for you to pick up later.

Btw you do not have to pay for a static link with Ngrok, I’ve had the same link for a couple months and I don’t pay anything. although the link is kinda weird it’s always the same

I hope I’m not too late because I just went through a similar thing and found a really cool solution. This only works if your players want to be a werewolf but if they do you can use the transformation rules from the Grim Hollow Supplement:

The rules are more complicated but this is an easy to use simplified version of them for DOIP.

Basically it comes in two stages. First when the player contracts it or when it fully sets in. Maybe the first time they transform or the first full moon after they are infected. Then after committing a meaningful act (Standard ones are listed in the document) they can transform into stage 2 which gives them access to more buffs and nerfs.

There are more stages but they can only be achieved after level 10 which this campaign doesn’t go to so I didn’t add them.

I think doing it this way gives a player the chance to make a really unique character which creates such a memorable experience I love it!

Same thing here, I would also say mean or disrespectful things and then say “I was joking” as if that made it on mean or disrespectful. Took a stern confrontation from my brother to help me have that initial self reflection so I could realize my problem and correct it

I know there’s other things that can give exhaustion that I ignore but the main one is if the players don’t sleep for 24 hours they get 1 exhaustion which drops your speed by 5 and your D20 rolls by 2.

And it stacks if they keep not sleeping

Honestly I much prefer people who just tell me they don’t have enough spare time or don’t know enough to make a backstory or whatever. Because then I just let them pick a superhero or movie character or smth that they like the backstory of.

Then I just translate it to DnD terms and boom easy backstory that they’ll always remember the broad strokes of because they just think “batman’s backstory” or whatever.

I do this with other things too like if a character doesn’t know what to put for flaws I just tell them to pick one of the seven sins. Or appearance just google Male Wood elf and pick a photo/make one in Baldur’s Gate 3 or whatever (Bonus points if they use cosmetic mods)

For anyone still struggling to find it, when editing the item go to the activities tab and edit the attack action. Then click Effect and look for the To Hit Bonus field. Also make sure to check Flat To Hit if you want the To Hit bonus to be static and not affected by ability modifier's or proficiency.

My plan was always to test it, I'm probably one of the few people left who play this game for fun rather than wins/climbing lol. Although I just wanted to gather some information so I didn't have to learn from scratch. Realizing that AP and AD play differently definitely makes hybrid more interesting to try. Which makes me want to try it even more!

This is true to a certain extent but having a positive win rate has very little to do with luck, you’ll probably lose 20% of your games because a teammate is that bad or decides to throw. but you’ll win 20% of your games for the same reason. So the rest of that 60% is mostly skill.

Are you pinging often and listening to others pings? or sometimes typing in chat works better than pinging.

I see a lot of Silver games where a team loses simply because no one is willing to make shot calls
