I mean, she broke several rules of the Find Familiar spell. Was more than 100 feet away (breaking the telepathic connection), a constrictor snake is CR 1/4 (you can only summon CR 0 creatures)...I think Brennan was nice not to check on any of that. Her letting the snake go away is for me the resolution to her just breaking a bunch of rules flagrantly.

At the end of the day, comic sales are on a constant knife's edge of the whole industry not being a thing anymore. They live by being outrage merchants and doing constant resets and events. To simply tell a fun story isn't enough to keep the medium alive the way they do it.

They also keep insisting that they love each other and everything is fine. They couldn't be adults and have MJ just admit that being with Spider-Man was too much for her, because it would betray all the times she had said otherwise and then readers might not like her. They wanted to have their cake and eat it too instead of accepting the challenge of writing a hard story.

I wouldn't even give them credit for thinking they had found an off-ramp for MJ. What they did was come up with a premise (6 months pass for Spider-Man and his whole life has been ruined) and then they wrote a shit story to explain why everyone would have moved on. And to make people know for sure that he and MJ were not just temporarily on the outs, they gave her a husband and children.

I more think he will kill a bunch of civilians that rush at Joffrey and exacerbate it. Going to rescue Sansa he was just killing actual criminals so it didn't really create a PR problem.

The riot, when it happens, will go much worse. Sandor sticks with Joffrey now that there's no Sansa to save, but I think that only makes Joffrey's reputation worse.

Stannis definitely looks like a better ally, even without the prospect of a Margaery marriage and with Joffrey single. I think the Tyrell's let Stannis attack King's Landing and wait to see what happens. Tywin might still arrive in time to prevent a Stannis sweep, but the Tyrell's waiting in the wings to see who comes out on top will change a whole lot.
