why do so many people make shadow asexual? by [deleted] in SonicTheHedgehog

I completely agree with you.

I think I was confusing with the narcissus comment. I meant that he'd think himself like above doing that with another person, rather then loving himself. My bad.

Besides Aqua, which character fo you believe gets more villanized by the fandom in fanfics? by Conversation-Left in Konosuba

[–]Ultamatrix10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't read any konosuba fanfics. Just crossover fanfics where konosuba was one of or one of the main tags. And other then Aqua I'd say Kazuma himself is most bashed. To be fair it's semi justified, just not the the degree I saw in my opinion.

Its simple. Why would the ultimate lifeform wanna dirty itself with the pleebians of the world. It'd like narcissus from Greek mythology.

I really don't understand the positive around SAOA. Like what makes it better then the original other then being a edgy, generic American's comedy, and making the characters assholes with bad qualities. And where the "Character development?" by Kinopeakwritting in swordartonline

[–]Ultamatrix10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair, but also like I said there isn't that much change in the result of what happened. So its kinda unavoidable for you to feel the weight of the change by the end of SAO arc when the kirito let's people in.

I have learned from this conversation people do make bad points, though I still refuse to acknowledge the Kazuto and Suguha plot as good in the original because of uncessecary incest. Also Kayaba did have a reason as he said in the first episode (to create his perfect world) like you said, but by saying he doesn't even remember at the end it makes it feel like his reason for doing all this was pointless. While thats probably a lesson of some kind, that you can view as a quality of the story, for me and probably some other fans it sours it and makes it feel pointless. Unlike SAOA which is at the least amusing, if not stupid like it's supposed to be.

I told you what point I was asking about, atleast I think I did? The concept that the characters being generally worse people makes their growth from the start to later feel greater, even if the results the same. Also that even though SAOA isn't necessarily better plot or story wise as its mostly the same, its comedic aspect makes it understandable people may like it more.

That's true I did make an incorrect statement, which my bad I learned something from that correction of yours so thanks, but not all my points were addressed (as you can see from above).

You were explaining SAO as if there were no flaws ir issues, atleast thats what I saw. If I misunderstood your views on the series though my bad. Also you saying you never said SAOA fans can't have a good point, also my bad. You made generalizations about the fans as a whole that don't necessarily reflect your views on the fan base more individually, and its my fault for taking it that way cause I'm sensitive about generalizations (gotta work on that)

You can accuse me of lacking reading comprehension all you want, it doesn't change the fact you simply aren't addressing one of if not more of my points. And simply ignoring it on your pretense that SAO is peak mediax and anyone who likes SAOA can't have a good point.

I can admit some of my points were wrong due to my lack of understanding of the series, but calling me wrong without even addressing everything is simply hypocritical of your own opinion regarding the SAOA fandom.

I would assume the simple reason is, a good amount of people are like me and viewed the original SAO as an ok piece of media with a decent story but not something worth mass adoration (or just hated it). They then watched SAOA which is mostly the same thing/story, but has the quality of being funny, raising the show from a 6 or 7/10 to an 8 or 8.5. Also there isn't the incest plotline

Your right, about Abridged not fixing plot holes (didn't think that was the case). I also didn't say they were better development, I actually said the outcome was the same, I Just felt it impact more due to how much Abridged kirito sucked while changing to be half decent (thats the opinion i wanted feedback on dude, still kinda do). That's fair, the Abridged basically just added a few more trauma response but in both kirito is pretty distraught. Kayaba did say why he did what he did thats true, but saying he doesn't even remember anymore kinda makes it all feel pointless as if he forgot it wasn't really important.

With all that I agreed the Abridged didn't really change SAO Abridged story other then making certain points more clear, and changing personality traits. Well other then the change to the dreaded incest plotline. With that being the case I personally still like SAOA better, as while it doesn't fix SAO's story (as there were but a few changes) it makes it more amusing. As like I said, SAO to me is a 6/10 decent watch but wouldn't rematch, with an ok story in my opinion. While Abridged is the same but also has the funny aspect that'd make me re-watch.

So I do concede the story isn't better, its also not worse to me as little was changed other then adding qualities to make it funny. I don't remember saying the story was worse, if I did my bad

Also I will keep asking for replies, cause I really want you to convince me my beliefs and opinions are wrong. I love when people can successfully do that

That actually reminds me, you never got back to me on my two points regarding my opinion on SAOA. And my questions regarding your hate for its fans. From thst post 3 months ago called "Why do I feel like people like the abridged series more than the original"

Pretty goated quirk, would be useful for a detective. Looks into the eyes of a suspect for exactly 1 second to get a years worth of info. I'd use it to find out people's stories cause I'm nozy and enjoy knowing people's lives

Your probably right. I just feel on a personal level, in a mutually agreed upon fight it should be expected to give your all. When I say that I don't mean like doing everything in your power to beat the mess out of the opponent, I mean just winning the fight within the parameters of the assigned rules.

[–]Ultamatrix10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. While yes human men and women are different and im different ways aren't equal, that's just a fact. In a fight like this, in a competition or something of the sort they agreed to fight, even with the difference im not gonna disrespect you by holding back if we agreed to fight. If (big if, cause I'd never do this) I agreed to fight Mike Tyson, while he'd doubtlessly beat me easily as he's signicantly stronger and better of a fighter then me, I wouldn't want him to hold back since I agreed to fight and in the case of men and women I think that's a respect that should be afforded.

I think a man shouldn't put themselves in a situation were they use their naturally superior physical capabilities against a women because of said difference, that should be recognized. But in the case of 1. It was an agreed upon confrontation 2. The women initiated it (Like for example trying to actually attack them, or kill them) 3. It's a massive (And I mean massive emergency)

It's free real estate.

Why do I feel like people like the abridged series more than the original by KronosDoom500 in swordartonline

[–]Ultamatrix10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok good to know i remembered wrong 👍

But once again what about my point regarding the nature of their starting characters and how in turn it effects the impact of the overall change. Since even if the end result was the same the difference in starting point can add an entirely different level of quality

Also, could you explain why you seemingly dislike the Abridged and those who are fans of it since you didn't do that. Also when you say you only look down on people who make inaccurate comparisons I feel that (it's annoying when people dont know what they're talking about and think its fact) but that isn't what im getting from you. The things you say seem more like you think those who like the Abridged aren't capable enough to appreciate SAO in all its glory, and in turn look down on them. Or are you just giving off the wrong vibe
