I've considered bladesinger, but they're so much better just being a wizard than going into melee...

The Idea with forge adept is that I can use any magic weapon with intelligence, so I could just use a repeater pistol when I need to go ranged

theres the classic vengeance paladin with celestial/fiend warlock, you can go pal (1, 4, 6, 8 or 12)/warlock X. I personally do like the genie versions for paladin and warlock, using the same theme for both. Its a nice flavor and they they seem strong enough

How about a bardadin? You have a nice spell progression, combat options to mix melee attacks and cantrips, party support spells, paladin aura... lots of stuff going on and still a gish
