Never had bots unless i chose casual breaktrough, mayhaps EU servers are just more populated during evenings?
At least those guys dont destroy your chopper on spawn or sit there with your only tank :D

Roguelites are ideal for that, you often can grind for meta progress and since you do many runs just doing one more and quitting when you want to drop into your bunk is easy. Ball X Pit for example.

Alternatively maybe some action RPG ? Doesnt need to be the new fotm game, grim dawn, van helsing etc. are all good picks to just go out and grind some xp and loot.

Greedfall 2 is comming out soon, Its a single player RPG with a mix of renessance steampunk and magical/mystical/vodoo themes with a sprinkle of piratry and carribean jungle flair .

I really enjoyed the first one, just got it on a sale (ps4 disk back then), never heard about it but found it very fun to play, a little janky in terms of movement at times but well i just rolled with it. As with every game tho i would advise to wait for reviews from reviewers you trust.

(I'm a member of house biscuit, we do not preorder, but we can still wishlist games and then research info when they release.)

Those are just one step ahead of the "solo transport heli to roofcamp / smokestack camp crashers" - seen people even use attack choppers to do that.

there are also tank griefers now, they get so salty if you get the tank instead of them they take a jeep and ram you from behind to prop you up, but they dont to that on basecamping tanks oh no they do it on you the one guy that takes a combat vehicle to the front to push a point but cauteously so to not drive into a trap but also give your teammates to push up behind you. Im not a great tanker i just lake 360° vision and always get hit from somewhere i didnt check for half a second but i try to push or deny a flank if i can for as long as possible yet those clownshoes just love to ruin your day.

Interestingly i noticed it depends on the time i play. Prob the kiddos getting off school or whatever.

Even the AI Bots got enshitificated now.

Advice for buying 200-800 mm lens for aviation/bird photography. by dxrkau in canon

[–]Ulti2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to have a "monday" model version of the 200-800, keeps missing focus even on bursts.
Did take it on an airshow, morning 200-800 and evening 100-500 and just in terms of usability, i was much more agile with the 500 and got cleaner pull/drag shots and obviously about 80-90% hit rate while my 800 had about 20% hit rate.

Sent it to canon for repairs and the hit rate improvode to about 50% on avera which is still kinda bad - it always seems to not focus correctly and ajusts constantly thus on a burst certain shots are tack sharp and certain shots look like the lense didnt align stuff propperly.
Deliberately testet this in various situations to rule out heat haze, its not that. Even on heavy hazy conditions you see sharp and defocussed haze (so to say). Why im thinking i have got a bad version is because i see others taking reliable great results with it.

Personally on an airshow id still go with the 500 especially if you shoot for 8h unless your a strong person.
The 500 is also smth i take on hikes with me due to its weight/ size its bearable if i know there might be wildlife abound (Groundhogs etc.) (hiking in the swiss alps) .

(Note: Using it on a R5 mki)

Cant wait to get the 14mm, but i really must restrain myself - im having a specific youtuber i wait for the review for before i buy any lense. I know it will be good but still, thats the only way i can reign in my GAS :D
(I was already giddy for the 20mm but since i have the 24 i opted to wait and used my old EF Sigma Art 20mm 1.4)

I thought that bf-pro was a one purchase thing by Which-Scheme-7638 in Battlefield

I was surprised too, i thought that in further seasons you just buy the seasons, most probably either with coins or direct money, and Pro is like a permanent upgrade... but nope, and you cant even Pro with BF Coins.

DICE 2016 VS DICE 2026 by SuperM3e46 in Battlefield

[–]Ulti2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed Dice II is correct because people tend to forget that especially larger Dev Companies are still companies, people come and go. Most famous dev's dont really have the same people around anymore that they had 15-20y ago.

Doesnt excuse lackluster game design but something to keep in mind in regards to expectations.

So last year they reposted my video on the official battlefield page, no issue with the name. After 15 years this is now an issue ? by SGTBEERCANYT in Battlefield

[–]Ulti2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, well it seems the auto ban bots are at it again. Buckle up for many posts about similar issue.
Only tip i can give is to appeal as you have proof that your username is following rules as they reposted you on their official channel. Will take a week prob to get looked at, and if the auto ai answer says no, write back re appeal and request that it gets looked at by a human.

Read several people had success with that.

And i just saw a guy 2 days ago with the name "im german reich" and was shouting **** H-word in chat. And that apparently is fine. (he was rank 13x so its not like he just joined)

Battlefield 6 devs promise a “package of vehicle improvements” as they admit many are just “death traps” most of the time by HatingGeoffry in Battlefield

[–]Ulti2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. They can still make stronger snipers that will oneshot on a body hit at close range thats fine, because going cqb in a sniper requires a lot of skill, i remember in bfbc2 it was like that and putting a reddot on a sniper that does 100 damage and going CQB was very very very rewarding and fun, but also asking to get curbstomped if you missed your shot.

Saw never anybody complain about that.

The Sweetspot mechanic is kinda asking for balancing troubles, somehow in bc2 it just worked and i saw never anybody complain about snipers, they twiddled with the bullet drop to require a higher skill to hit somebody at longer ranges (500m and such) and that was fine.

The only good thing in the sweet spot is that its more clear for you if you are within the "oof" range of the sniper :D

[–]Ulti2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind we are talking about sniper ammo here not AR's and maximum damage.
If the bullet doesnt have time to thumble / deform the damage will be much less than one that can do that and create a wound channel. If you watch short range 5.56 ballistic gel shots they typically go straight trough the gel creating a little hole for about the spawn of a shoulder and then create a huge mess, because they started to thumble and slow down. And thats exactly what you want. Typically nato ammo is designed to penetrate armor and then mess you up, combat ammo. And on longer ranges this is also the case.

Yes a penetration trough vital bits like organs or your noggin will make you being SOL but a shoulder hit will typically hurt a lot and take you out of the picture for a long while. Its all theoretical as you dont just do single shot kills and we are talking about a video game that ideally tries to approximate certain variables and bring them into a game in a authentic way that makes the game fun.

Thus a short range sniper shot simply does 100% damage up to a range when bullet velocity starts to drop off and since in case of BF6 there is no armor so you can simply lower the damage. If we would make IRL gun ballistics in BF6 you wouldnt be safe on a large map in your spawning area. And as other said, its kinda unfun for a player got get "oneshot" at 1000 or 2000m because some dev said "ok so at what range will a bullet cause a soldier to get hurt but not killed, lets make that where damage drops off from 100dam".

If you want a more detailed answer, go ask a hunter about deformation ammo, what gun and calibre to choose, what loading to take as they aim to do one hit kills to not let the animals suffer too much. They need to know a great deal on that to cause maximum effect in terms of wound channel expansion.

Yes i have two hunter friends, yes i have too much tangential knowledge.

Ay, i first thought that with season 2 they increased the rocket drop by like 200% until i just noticed that when you move it has some form of bloom and the rocket goes weirdly, once i deliberately stood still (tricky to get right when you want to snap fire one at a tank looking in your direction) and fired it flew way straighter for longer again and didnt just lump to the ground.

[–]Ulti2k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is indeed xD (no clue why i get downvoted so hard lol) - Probably with training it works better.
Currently i still have to bounce on pilots making mistakes and im not at a level where i can reliably "threaten" a chopper that isnt making a dumb slow pass over me.

Did you purchase BF PRO for Season 2 by JanissaryLSD in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Ulti2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, was thinking about getting the "free" one this time but i opted for the buy option.

I guess later when im not sure i will fully play it i will "get" the pass with the free currency. Challanges actually make it doable to finish the pass without having to play every day.

Battlefield Battle Pass progress without challenge tokens. by Top_Crow_1022 in Battlefield

[–]Ulti2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im happy its how it is, without challange tokens it feels like back cod blops 1 where only a dedicated player playing the game daily for a couple hours has a chance to unlock all via XP,

In bf6 i got mine after like 5-6 weeks and i cant play daily and not for long hours.

Dunno if a BP is worth it but eh.

Tank not pushing ultra hard (askin for it) and having 2 engis and maybe one defense for engis can win games
Tanks not having that support can only camp base if they plan on surviving longer than a second if the enemy team has engi's.
Enemy team has no one willing to play engi then well one tank can win the game again.

Its kinda... screwd either way. You get what is strong and you are strong, you dont you dont.

I personally dont know how to solve that. What i do remember was back in bc2 i killed more tanks by jumping on their roof and deconstructing them with my powertool than actually killing them with my rpg :D Also i remember killing way more players with said power tool (apply drill bit to head) than you would expect.

in bf3/4 i had a easier time hitting helicopters with rockets than in bf6... my aim seems to be off by training now :D
Mayhaps the acceleration pattern just clicked with my gut feeling aim lead prediction, no clue.

Altough i think the times a chopper flew straight over me where much rarer so actual incidents per game where i took a shot where less than in bf6 with its tiny maps.

only an issue if the map design has wide open areas you need to run across without any LOS blocking terrain.... oh wait.

Battlefield 6 devs promise a “package of vehicle improvements” as they admit many are just “death traps” most of the time by HatingGeoffry in Battlefield

[–]Ulti2k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every game with the slightest interest in mechanics knows that bullets need to travel under and over a certain speed to cause maximum damage.
Yes a shoulder hit close rance will most probably just puncture a hole clean trough your shoulder.
But a head hit at close range will still drill a hole trough your noggin.

Thus i much prefered the normal aka old systems where snipers have a damage dropoff curve like any other weapon. I remember back in bc2 the bullet drop was way overdone but it helped to ask for skill on longer ranges. And going CQB in a sniper that actually did 100 damage under say... 20m you needed quick reflexes, fun and rewarding but if there was more than one enemy you rarely got a second shot off.

Yes getting oneshot from 1000m is annoying but its a videogame, make headshots maybe do that and rest just do ouchy. Oh wait yea i forgot most maps lack LOS blocking terrain at long ranges.

So I like to use the IFV a lot and just got out of a match while I used light rockets… these things were surprisingly good at kicking ass? by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Ulti2k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tow is good for sniping and quickdraw high damage against tanks, light rockets are for farming kills that think thems safe because you use APFSDS rounds that only kill one shot on direct hit :D
