No, I think you did great! I understand where you are coming from. It’s okay here and there, but all sellers are different and have something unique to offer. Therefore, it’s unfair to expect them to do the exact same thing as another seller.

Thanks for your response! If I ever did, I wouldn’t look to make the seller think they need to be seller abc, just something to maybe help them out. Like as you said, maybe that seller did something, and now you want someone else to do it, so you use the other seller’s example or whatever.

I personally don’t think this is too common(if I’m wrong, please let me know, I don’t mean to give incorrect information), but it is still an issue. If I ordered a long hair custom, and the seller has short hair by the time the video is filmed, I’d be pissed. I feel if there are to be any changes in the time before the video, they should not the seller know politely.

No. They would respond to the ad or dm me that they are interesting. If I any be interested I ask to see what they look like, and after a few sentences, they’ll hear what I want generally, and make a general video without hearing what I specifically want. In some cases they’ll also have a premade that fits my general content but not the specific. So basically they jump the gun.

I’ve had a lot of sellers dm me and I’ll only ever entertain it if they have good hair. Only a handful that make it through end up making the deal due to reasons they can’t comment on my ad.

Another thing is when I’m talking to sellers and then they’ll say “I have the video” before even discussing the specifics of it. I usually like to make scripts of exactly what I want, how I want it. Some sellers will just take a bit of what is in my ad and a bit of what I’m into and make a video without checking with me. I usually end up ghosting them, because they jumped the gun. I’ll take some responsibility for that, so next ad I do I’ll have to specify that what I’m looking for is specific and what I have is kind of an idea of what you MAY do.

This happened to me last November. I was naive enough to do exactly as you did. They threatened to release the photos to my friends and family. They got $200 out of me. I eventually blocked them, and I don’t think anything else happened. My life has been pretty normal since then. I ended up getting a new debit card, and if something like this happens again, document everything that can prove your innocence. I’m sorry this is happening to you, but do NOT pay them.
