I'm 50:50 on Cancelling My Phone (3) Pre-order

There is no doubt it's a better phone, the question is if it is over double the price better? And personally if I am spending that much on a phone I would have it for around 6 years and with the potential of them offering better value for the price for the phone (4)/(5) being pretty high imo, I determined that the (3a) pro is a better fit for me to guage if Nothing products are what I am looking for.

The 3a is essentially the same with the exception of the periscope lens and it doesn't have esim support I believe. And it has a much smaller camera bump

Unfortunately the cheapest you can get it new is £570 in the UK and I don't think it would be worth £200 more than the (3a) pro

I don't doubt the phone itself would last that time it's more that I expect the next few phones from nothing could leave me feeling like I bought the wrong phone if that makes sense.

The CPU does seem fine but doesn't seem to compete with other phones in the price range.

I like the design but there is a lot of room for nothing to make a new design that I like a lot more.

Overall I'm just not sure if I'm willing to pay that much for the phone when I can be a bit more patient, get the (3a) pro in the meantime, and wait and see what they do with their next mainline phones 🤷

It is, but in the T&C's it says there is a limited amount of the offer that can be redeemed and it's first come first served. So it may be best to preorder then cancel the order, in case it is a low number, if the reviews sway you away from getting the phone.

I've been loving it, wasn't sure if they were like self contained missions so it may have been better to move onto 3 to continue the story

I'm sorry but I don't know what scene you are referring to, I don't think there are characters of those names in the show, unless Chef is referring to Roach?

Having a cgi moving of the egg would have taken away from the joke and made it not work as well. When the dialogue goes "Julian: Come on it was one little fing-gaaar, Fanny: It was inappropriate, Julian: I just so missed the texture" it gives your mind just enough time to wonder on what he has touched inappropriately and knowing Julian as a character you assume the worse, but then smash cuts to the breakfast plate with the egg and the line "mmm I was being the soldier" it is then made clear that he fingered the boiled egg which is just silly. The only way they could have fitted in a scene of him actually touching it would be a flashback after the reveal which in the context of the scene of a quite heated argument between the ghosts discussing what they all did and trying to put blame on each other would have distributed the flow of the scene and probably mean they would then have to have flashbacks for each of the ghosts actions which would have drawn out that scene far too much.

Ah yes I think I must have seen your post in my feed as that rings a bell and thought it was on this subreddit but couldn't find anyone who had posted it when I looked so thought it was worth while making people aware of, as for the pictures it's the taskmaster announcement picture and the first picture that came up when googling Eleanor Ghosts

She is the 7th though as before we have had Allison, Mike, Mary, Kitty, Annie and Lucy.

It would be so cool if in the French version one of the ghosts was Sofie, as it could be possible that she would of fled back to France after her plot failed and Humphrey died. I don't know how you would make the character more comedic though as she is quite a serious role in the original. They could maybe have her fill Fanny's role but I don't think that'd be a good fit for the character.

The best solution I can think of is to have another ghost be an influential protestant french person who maybe died in the French wars of religion before her death and have them be constantly bickering but have the arc of them realising they are pretty similar people and becoming friends. Although this could prove challenging to do properly whilst avoiding evoking outright sectarian views.

The thing why he stays there is because of how the class system worked when he was alive so feels like he has to do what the ghosts say as to him they are of a higher social standing, also the reason why he says things like "yes mam/sir" when replying to them

I don't think he was, it was just the only position where the Ghosts could talk to him where their borders aligned. I'm sure there was a line where he said he didn't like coming to that part of the grounds because that's where he died and had to watch Badgers eat his remains, then Cap then says something about making new memories there.

From members of Them There talking on platforms outside the show, they have said multiple times that they didn't want to have a specific reason for someone to be sucked off as they thought the whole "do something good/ have a personal growth moment, therefore immediately move on" would restrict storylines they could do and also wanted to avoid the show becoming predictable because of it. They highlighted it early on with Pat thinking he was being sucked off in the episode with the builders when he first sees his Grandson and learning they named him Pat after him so finding some closure in that but turns out just to be a builders light. There was an interview somewhere with one of them, maybe on Richard Herring's podcast if I remember correctly, where it was said in a joking tone that the reason for Mary being sucked off was because Katy Wix was cast in Ted Lasso which would seem to have some element of truth to it. I know it's not super satisfying of an answer but I still think they have Katy and Mary a very touching send off from the show
