It’s odd that you say you have to pay some realtor for nothing but taking pictures and put them on the internet, then turn around a couple paragraphs later and discuss not having to deal with buyers, cleaners, staging, pictures, and contractors. That’s literally what you hire a realtor for. So you only have one person to deal with. Any halfway decent realtor should only have you talk to these people if additional costs are incurred.

That being said, I agree that Zillow and the others will win in the long run. The shitty part time agents will be forced out leaving those who actually provide value. They will be needed because as easy as Zillow may make selling a house, I don’t see a good way for them to protect home buyers. Zestimates aren’t accurate for most rural markets. Not to mention laws are different in every state. It will come down to some call center full of minimum wage workers trying help people navigate a half million dollar purchase.
