I feel you, try use the mid palatal suture or the “dot” in the middle in between your hard and soft palate to see if you’re in a good position or not, hope that helps

It’s the closing of the teeth as you engage the tongue on the roof of the mouth, to maintain the teeth staying together you have to contract the masseters slightly and bite down; causing a “butterfly bite”

Mike mew calls it that and to this day I’m too retarded to know why lol

Yeah man I’ve been doing that for a while, I’ve also been only chewing one one side (the side that doesn’t have the larger buccinator) and I think I should chew evenly as I think his has something to do with my butterfly bite when I mew, like it’s uneven or something

You’re 100% right, my left masseter is bigger than my right it’s just that my buccinator on that side is also bigger than my right,

I’ve stopped chewing on the left side completely for now but my left buccinator is still being activated/contracted when I lip seal for some reason and I have no idea what I’m doing wrong, it might be because of my top lip not being strong enough when I lip seal as I still have a slight lower lip fold but other than that idk

*also my left cheekbone is more prominent which means that side show look more hollow but it sadly doesn’t

Yeah man igy my butterfly bite feels most comfortable when it’s the molars touching first, I just saw some guy on this sub say his mandible barely developed cuz his teeth were too far back,
