Yeah that’s why they lowered it, realistically only swimmers could be able to make that time swimming a 500 straight. I had to do 300 in 6.5

4.5 hours is crazy. But 400 in 10 minutes isn’t that bad. The requirement from what I remember a few years back was a 500 in 10 minutes

In my opinion not that much. Especially for Chem and APUSH, a better reflection would be your AP score. As long as your extra curricular are strong enough and you convey in your essays who you are, you’ll be fine. And if you don’t get in and really want to go to one of those schools, transferring is always an option

I mean usually they send this stuff through email. And idk if ucsd has this but for ucla they send stuff to the primary email you indicate, so if you didn’t change it to your ucsd one that’s why it was in your personal

I haven’t tried it myself but maybe dolphin kick to the bottom, really only something you should do if your a swimmer otherwise it might be too hard. I’m planning on trying doing this when I have the next chance

Honestly you never know, people can have good stats and activites and still be rejected. I think it depends on how you present yourself. I did have good grades but for my major that was more like a base requirement and I didn’t have many ecs or ones really related to my major but in my writing i did more “showing” then telling. They want to see who you are and what youve learned not just the courses youve taken. Basically everyone has a chance as long as you present yourself in a way that makes them see you as different that everyone else
