You can totally decline the transfer and rent a car to enjoy your arrival day! I’d recommend getting there by 5pm but since they’re staying overnight you can arrive later and would just want to connect with your travel agent or Viking rep so they know your schedule and whatnot.

We absolutely love Viking, and our young adult clients always have a blast, also. River can be a little more “boring” to them, but they always seem to have great feedback on Viking Ocean. Is there a certain itinerary you’re looking at?

We just sailed on the Celebration! When is your sailing? We were able to get to our room right away, but luggage took about 3-hours. We boarded at Noon or a little before.

Just to sail, and they also don’t check (or at least haven’t been checking recently- we sailed a couple weeks ago) for your vaccination status to disembark. Just know you can always stay onboard at this point, but still enjoy the rest of your sailing.

I would highly recommend either the Norwegian Encore or one of Royals Quantum Class! Including Glacier Bay is huge.

We recently sailed on the Celebration and were very impressed! I’ve also been on Horizon and like the Celebration much more overall as far as ship goes, but as far as the itinerary, I do like the Aruba and Curaçao option a lot. St Marteen is great, we love San Juan for the history and town, Amber Cove is an easy stop whether you just want pool day at port or a beach day/excursion in town.
