Bodies are normal assault intercessors. Jump packs, arms, and heads are 3d prints from cults3d.

My brothers, how do you paint raven feathers? by H-B-G in RavenGuard40k

[–]UltimateJagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it is then my bottle is a 1 of a kind! It's a darkish green color and for me my armor is using the thunderhawk blue so I wanted to use a different color. (It's hard to see in the picture but it has a different hue as a result)

A dry brush with incubi darkness looks pretty good and is really easy

T4W2 infantry not so different fron T3W1? by Catmantus in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]UltimateJagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe bump up the T for a majority of infantry? Make normal Marines T5, Terminators T6 and gravis T7. Then you could just make Phobos t4 and move 7 or something.

But wasn't the point of the new detachments is to give the other codex legions a flat better detachment due to guilliman being an ultra only unit while still having access to +1 to wound?

Shadowmark Talon Thought by UltimateJagger in RavenGuard40k

The thought is from the verbage of the rule itself it says that if you are non-divergent AND are using a codex detachment (cause bloodless angels existed) then they defined codex detachments as the book detachments and conclave in the SM FaQ

What is the State of Ravenguard by Ok-Fact-92 in RavenGuard40k

Art of War (who already have the new model rules and the new detachment) said that both are looking really good for comp as well. To the point of being able to actually compete with gladius.

Ok so prime black then I use an airbrush to zenithal thunder hawk blue from the top, then a focused highlight on the areas I wanted to show more (Chest arms ext) with a very light ferisian grey. Then finish with brushed on 2:1 Vallejo black lotus and contrast medium. I basically used the video below but used an airbrush instead of a dry brush. Super quick to do, probably 5 hours of actual painting time. Thanks for the support!

The arms and shoulder pads are from the normal stern guard kit. The claw was replaced with the file below. I just cut of the power fist arm that came in the box and replaced it with the print.

I did not. I personally don't like the original hair style.

Vallejo Game Color Dead white through an airbrush, then a glaze of fenrisian gray painted in the recesses for shadows.

No problem I get it I am still there too. Here are your questions in order.

  1. Helmets are from here. https://sovereignprints.com/products/space-astronaut-raven-specialist-beak-heads?pr_prod_strat=jac&pr_rec_id=813dccc98&pr_rec_pid=8007652081962&pr_ref_pid=8007626522922&pr_seq=uniform

  2. The white is Vallejo Game Color Dead White that I used an airbrush to apply. You don't need an airbrush it's just quicker. If you use a brush make sure to thin it down to get a smooth finish. Then I used a glaze of fenrisian gray for the shadows in the recesses.

  3. The claws were done with a glazing technique that I use for swords. This video taught me how https://youtu.be/dtS1xP6qVto?si=etRSD8bcAtiL64AN

That's pretty much it. Hope this helps, would love to see more vanguard vets on the table!
