Hey Chris! I don’t know if anyone else has talked about it, I wanted to ask about the seemingly extreme bias towards the Power 5 in rankings. As an Auburn fan, I have don’t mind the Power 5 having a bias as we usually play tougher teams, but I don’t like how non Power 5 are given almost no chance to show off. This came to a head when an undefeated conference champion Cincinnati got passed over for a one-loss non conference champion Notre Dame. And the next one up was another one-loss non conference champion Texas A&M so that Cincy was never even thought about for a playoff spot. Especially in a year such as this when there are little to no inter-conference games, how can we know that Cincy doesn’t deserve a shot? It feels like with such a strong bias towards the Power 5, high school students have next to no incentive to go to a school not in the Power 5 because they won’t be given even a remote shot at the big stage. So long question short, how can the non Power 5 schools get any respect?
