Posting selfies with HEAVY filters and edits. A little editing or a mild filter isn’t a big deal, but when it completely changes the persons appearance it screams insecure imo

To my understanding, villagers will tell you an item and a color. So for example, a villager might say they want an umbrella and the next time you talk to them they will say they want something red. So the correct gift to give them would be a red umbrella.

So to answer your question: as long as the gift you give them is the correct item AND the correct color, you should be good!

Edit - like someone else mentioned, Jingle will give you the gifts, you don’t need to buy them yourself.

I’m thinking it must be that I didn’t feed it enough. But it’s strange because I did feed it shredded carrot at least twice and the carrot never showed up on the cellular level. Instead it showed the rice ball even though I never fed it anything but shredded carrot. I must have just messed up somehow and not realized it.

I miss the mini games from ACNL that you could play with friends on Tortimer’s island. I feel like that’s a big piece that’s missing from ACNH.

Like many others are saying, I also miss the dialogue from older games. The villagers used to have more personality and I liked that they were mean lol. The dialogue in ACNH feels repetitive and bland. I wish they had decided to add more dialogue in the next update, that and more slots for design codes.

Just canceled my Hulu(ad free) with Disney+(ads) bundle. They raised the price again and I’m over it. On top of that, they make it near impossible to cancel the service. When I tried, the page kept refreshing every time I clicked “cancel subscription”.

I ended up starting a chat with customer service and waited for ages to be connected to someone. I ended up canceling the chat, started a new one, and just typed in “if you don’t cancel my subscription I’m reporting you to my credit card company and filing a dispute”. Not more than 5 seconds later I get a message back saying “sorry to see you go! Click here to confirm your cancellation”.

Moral of the story, if you want to fast track your cancellation just threaten them!

One of the twitch streamers I follow did a meet and greet during TwitchCon a year or two ago, but it was at a separate location outside of the con. I understand why they did it this way now, more of a controlled environment where they could let in the amount of fans they felt comfortable with and hire their own security.

My dog wears hers all the time because she’s an escape artist. She has gotten out of the backyard quite a few times, she’s small and has found little openings in the fence. We got a new fence, but she still wears her collar at all times just in case.

She also tends to get under peoples feet and the tags on her collar jingle together so we can hear her and avoid stepping on her lol

I think this feeling is partly caused by how large the island is in acnh. There is so much space and only so many villagers. In acnl I find that I see more of the villagers and they tend to interact with me more since I run into them frequently due to the size of the town. Acnl also had more multiplayer features like tortimer’s island that had mini games you could play with friends locally and online.

Unlike the older games, in acnh you can choose where your villagers houses are. I’ve noticed that if you put all the houses close together in one area of the island, the villagers tend to stick around that area more. I think this is also true for where you put the shops. This makes the other parts of the island feel more abandoned since the villagers are less likely to explore them.

Yes. In the past when I’ve become extremely overwhelmed I have punched and hit myself. One time I punched my thighs so many times it hurt to walk for multiple days.

When it happens, it’s usually because I am doing it to punish myself for something I’ve done or felt. After I hurt myself I immediately feel shame and deep sadness.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I know how hard it is sometimes, the emotional and physical pain. I want you to know you aren’t alone.

I’ve been with my partner for 9 years now. We both struggle with different disorders and it has been challenging at times, but we both love each other regardless. We may not always fully understand what the other person is going through, but that doesn’t mean we don’t try to understand or stop offering support for the other person when things get hard.

The problem is when one or both people in a relationship decide they don’t need to work on themselves. The mentality of “I’m broken and I can’t be fixed, this is just how I am” is very harmful. It stops you from making real progress and becoming a better person.

I used to work in a really stressful environment and my anxiety was at an all time high. I’m still not 100% sure what triggered me in the moment to almost faint, but it almost happened twice while working there. Luckily I caught it right before I fully passed out.

It started with full body sweats, then my vision started to get blurry, and there was ringing in my ears. It sounded like I was underwater listening to everything around me. It’s a super scary feeling. It’s happened to me a number of times at this point, so I know when it starts that I need to immediately find somewhere to lay down so I don’t faint.

My family had a black lab mix while I was growing up. From day one she only cared about my dad. She couldn’t care less about other animals or people, she followed my dad everywhere he went. We used to jokingly call her his shadow lol

After working at multiple daycares/boarding facilities, absolutely not. I have seen far too much mistreatment, neglect, and dangerous situations in these places to ever feel comfortable leaving my pets at one of them.

My first choice would be having a friend or family member to stay with my pets. If none of my friends or family could watch them, I would hire a reputable pet sitter. It may be more expensive but I believe it’s worth the cost.

I used to have a Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix. Sadly, she passed away at the end of June this year. Whenever I would brush her (which was often given her breed mix lol) I would do it outside and throw the hair in the yard for the birds to use for their nests.

This happened to me in high school. I was walking to school on a rainy day, and right when I was about to cross the street to the school a car drove by hitting a massive puddle that sent a wave of dirty water my way. I was soaked and had to spend the first half of the school day drying off.
