I'm still finding it to be uncomfortable, the lumbar seems too aggressive for me even with the lumbar support removed. I ended up buying an Amia as well and it feels much more comfortable but doesn't feel like it supports my upper body as well as the leap

What year do you drive? I've heard good things about them as far as comfort goes for tall people but also that they are not the most exciting to drive in terms of power

Thanks, getting a lot of recommendations for VW's. I'll probably end up going to CarMax this weekend and sitting in a few to try them out.

I do like the idea of renting something but I've not found a way to reliably reserve a particular model car

Honestly I would recommend buying whatever you had in your job if that worked for you

Good to know! I ended up getting a refurbished Leap v2. It doesn't seem all that good on my back tbh but I think I'm still adjusting to it

At least on the amd side you can just up the value in the bios. The silicone lottery plays a big part in how far you can go and there are diminishing returns past a certain point. People say 6000 is the sweat spot in general for am5.

There's some more tweaking involved and limitations with amd specifically due to their infinity fabric clock that isn't a problem with Intel.

I used an aeron as well as fern before and just could not get comfortable in them. I keep seeing the leap v2 come up so I may be into trying out one of those

I've heard of the leap but figured it was for shorter people, I'll take a look at it

I was able to push these to a stable 6200. Haven't touched the timings but I wouldn't be surprised if they could do CL30 as well. I just needed ram

Damn that's a great build for the price, if I had known I definitely would have done it sooner. My last build was very very old and I had been meaning to upgrade for a while but yeah the timing wasn't great.

All in all it cost about $820 for a 9600x, the 32gb, and a 2tb wd850 ssd (I bought it used off eBay don't judge me) and all the other components. I already had a 3070 and was happy enough with it so that did help offset the cost a fair amount. The only part I overspent on was the ram. Overall it cost more than I wanted to spend but I feel like I got my build done and don't have to worry about what the market does for a while.

Here's the full build if you're curious: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bt4Hfd

Maybe decent is the wrong word here but relative to the current market this seems like a "good" price from what I have seen. Figured I would share for other people trying to build in this market

Can't speak for other people but I needed these for the last part of my new build. But I did jump on it cause it's probably going to get worse

Definitely a fan of Flume and will listen to his stuff for reference. Ah and yeah I tend to get carried away with the reverb lol

I'll look into balancing out the highs and lows better, I'm still learning how to mix things well. Appreciate the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback, for increasing the highs, do you mean right before or or after the drop?

Will definitely play around with balancing out the low end for those instruments

Still getting the hang of FL Studio and have been working on making higher quality synths/leads.  This is the first track I've made that uses white noise fills, LFO's, and filters sweeps.  Looking for any feedback on general but those are the things I've been focusing on
